Here's a new band from Copenhagen called The Sonic Dawn:

Thanks G Bulldozer and Yves! I could listen to these songs all day!
Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world.
Current Psych, definitely not of the Pop variety, but since others beside the OP are reading the thread:
Mater Dronic
and related (and fairly similar) band:
Shakti's Delirium
For my money the best current Psych artist, (though I'll admit to not having dug too deeply into this lately.) Take early Floyd, mix in some S.T. Mikael, Ozrics, and a bit of Folk, and you're about there. Spiros is making some incredible Psychedelia. Only the first album is easy to get, and inexpensive, iirc.

Wow! I think I just had my first flashback experience and the only drug I take is Tylenol! Thanks for more goodies. Prog psych is easier to get onto then I thought!
See these guys if you get the chance, minds will be blown.
Yeah, if you look at that blog, you'll see that there are generally multiple editions for each release, with splatter colored vinyl, posters, trinkets, etc. It all seems very directed at the collector. He does play out in Europe, so you would think he'd want to have something to sell at those gigs, even if it was just on CDR, but apparently not.
I think there are copies available on Discogs, but they're a bit pricey.
In the 90s, S.T. Mikael did small vinyl editions of his albums, but did a repress of a couple of them due to the demand. In the end, his albums are sought after and relatively expensive for a 90s artist, but probably not as widely heard as the music deserved. Same could be said for Al Simones' LPs.
Hell, I'd settle for downloads on Bandcamp.
I liked the concept behind Goat, but I'm on the fence about the actual music. It sounds like a cross between Hawkwind and a Tuareg thing like Tinariwen. I also like the masks, which remind me of the Residents. I'm definitely intrigued, if not yet sold on them.

No thread of this nature can be complete without The Black Angels:

Wow! The black angels are awesome! Thanks again Yves and everybody! It would have taken me 20 years to find all these groups!
The Black Angels are one of the bands in this genre that have made a bit of a name for themselves, having appeared on certain late night talk shows and such....

i got to see The Black Angels a couple years ago with Roky Erickson opening - it was f'king outrageously good, no kidding.
I saw them as part of a double bill with Black Mountain. The former was promoting "Phosphene Dream" while the latter was promoting "Wilderness Heart". It was a seriously good double bill!

It was a co-headlining thing. It seemed the hipsters were there more for BA than BM which surprised me a little since BM is Canadian. I thought both bands played excellent sets!

Just took a Spotify recommendation and am listening to Annot Rhul - Lost in the Woods (2010), which is actually this Norwegian multi-instrumentalist's second album (an EP) plus his first album, which was a self-released CDR. It's a very enjoyable listen. It features several guest musicians, as well as added female vocals on some songs, along with the lead guy's own vocals, which are unobtrusive.
Atmospheric psych/prog, with occasional Floydian overtones. Doubtless, Scrotum Scissor will know more about this outfit! I learned from Progarchives that Annot Rhul is the guy's first and last name spelled backwards (Tonna Luhr). Coulda fooled me, they both look backwards!
I've become pretty won over in the last few weeks by the band Eldren from Denver, CO.
I'm addicted to their album from 2018 "Miss Information Aged." It's kind of like the album Apes & Androids and Janelle Monae should have made in the last decade, but never did.
