Alva: Latvian/British acid folk. Anyone ever hear of this?

Some Latvian expats in the UK made one album in 1978. Alternate singing in Latvian and English. Apparently they played the "Melody Maker Rock Folk" festival in 1975, which sounds like it was a big deal.

To me they sound like acid folk circa 1971! Reminds me in places of the great Trees of "On the Shore" fame. Anyone ever heard of this? Got any info?

Didn't think the link proposed was very acid folk, but this one is much more convincing

my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.

Surprisingly the sole ALVA lp has been issued on CD and is currently listed by Wayside under New Arrivals. Definitely worth a purchase for acid folk fans.
