    Guilty as charged, your honour!!

ABB is definitely more the B&W trilogy rather than those 80's albums... IMHO, of course and YMMV
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.

Can I go free , now?

In Hammill's case , I only do it for the in-between VdGG eras time, and the for the Black & White civer era after VdG folded, though I suppose some could do it for the Enter K and later albums

This works better with Tull, as most of their discography can be broken down in "trilogies"

The blues-era trilogy: This Was - Stand Up - Benefit
the prog trilogy: Aqualung - TAAB - APP
the next trilogy: War Child - Minstrel - Too Old
the prog folk trilogy: SFTW - HH - SW
    The fucked-up trilogy: A - TB&TB - UW
the return trilogy: Crest - Catfish - Rock Island
I don't see any cohesive connection in the run War Child - Minstrel - TOTRn'R. War Child has refefences with APP, that's pretty obvious, after the release of remaster. Minstrel and Too Old, how these correlate, have no idea.
