For what it's worth, I've found it's always much easier and sometimes more $$ to do a one-off festival show than a club tour.

If they did, as you say, that would have been their first real exposure to the wider prog scene, along with Steve F signing them at about the same time.

I'm not following you. I saw Cheer Accident last year at Progtoberfest, and in 2013 at RIOfest. I've seen Echolyn at NEARfest.

Free Salamander Exhibit has played a few shows, I believe, and last I heard form someone who talked to Nils, they were getting close to finishing their first record.
