New Sonar - "Black Light" - Dark Minamalist stuff!

    Hi everyone!

I was wondering if anyone's had the chance to dig into the new Sonar, Black Light. I bought the album as soon as it was available and have been loving it ever since - very dark, minimalist Crimsony, Nik Bartsch-y stuff. Dig it!

How does it compare with the last one? I liked it but didn't really love it.

    Blows it away.

In other words, I like it a lot better than the last one.

That sounds very promising! I think I need this one...

^ Liked it as well - without the feeling of "grab". I thought their concept was perhaps more interesting than the actual execution. But I'll check out this New one for sure.

Steve F. has presented us with such a bunch of awesome guitar-based bands throught the years; Björkenheim, Forever Einstein, Boom, Boud Deun, Bone (what's With all the 'Bo's?), Zevious, Ahleuchatistas, Schnellertoller etc.

I've found the writing is stronger and more immediate. It rocks a little harder too.

I really liked the song you played on your show the other night. I'll pick it up once I have some spending money again.
