"Silver Lining" album is Kalle Vilpuu's personal project released in early 2014.
Kalle was born on 24.07.1963. In 1983, he went to study classical guitar at the Georg Ots Tallinn Music School, all the while feeling a growing interest in rock music. Half way through his studies he switched from classical to electric guitar and continued to pursue his musical education in the jazz and pop music department.
Kalle's main bands have been 7Meel & Ultima Thule, where he is active to this day. He has been playing at several European music festivals and jazz & rock clubs. As a member of hard rock band House of Games in 2003 they recorded the album “Rise and Shine” (2007) in Finland’s top-ranking Seawolf Studios and that was favorably received by foreign critics. House of Games took him to USA, UK, Finnish clubs, Germany, Belgium, Poland, Hungary, Latvia, Sweden and the Czech Republic. HoG had the good fortune of touring as the warmup for US group W.A.S.P. in the United Kingdom (London Astoria, Manchester Academy, Glasgow Garage etc. http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/hou...w-a-s-p-in-uk/) and continental Europe. They were featured on the playlists of Western stations and in the Classic Rock and Metal Hammer magazines.

Experimental and surprising, at the same time offering familiar tangible fulcrums, in its multifaceted nature, “Silver Lining” might serve as prog rock for some, metal for others or indeed synthpop-influenced industrial for yet others. This abundance of ideas and genres does not, however, render the album uneven – courtesy of carefully weighed placement of tracks and duration that holds true to the LP standard – but instead helps to keep it fresh through countless listening sessions, offering unique reflections to fit various moods. There is exact science of sounds mixed with inclinations towards chaos, there is both sonic spaciousness and minimalism of compositions. The album definitely serves as a testament to the author´s love for music and respect for his favorite artists, as well as his unhindered proficiency as concerns both the classical greats of the music world and the creation of angry young men still wet behind the ears. The digital artwork for the album is done by Oxymoron.
