This one's the polar opposite of the subject at hand. I don't know about "wonderful," but The Trashmen's "Surfin' Bird" was certainly one of the weirdest tracks to ever make the Top 40. My big brother (R.I.P.) was buying 45s at the time and we were both surprised that the B side was just a "normal" surfer song. We listened to both sides a lot. Of course, "Surfin' Bird" drove our parents up a wall!

"Rain" by the Beatles, the B-side of the "Paperback Writer" .

DRIVING STUPID's historical single apart from the classic garage psych anthem "Horror Asparagus Stories", had on the flipside the equally woderful nonsensical "The Reality of (Air) Fried Borsk" (included on Pebbles Volume 3 compilation, 1979).

Just listening to a great one right now on 7" vinyl, Suites From Five Strangers by Squeeze, which is the B side to Last Time Forever from 1985.It is five weird short separate pieces by 5 different people.

Iron Maiden - Mission From 'Arry

I didn't read the thread just the first few so if this has been posted just ignore me.

If not, and no matter what you think of Maiden, this is a classic. Nicko is pissed off about being bothered during a drum solo, as Steve's bass was on the fritz. The roadie got it wrong in translation and this is the argument after the show.

Bruce recorded this. Shows a little of his character and damn I would love to hang with him.

It might just be me, but I don't hear anything remotely weird about that.

It's not weird, but my favorite b-side song of all time is still "Hey Hey What Can I Do?"
"It was a cruel song, but fair."-Roger Waters

Sounds a lot like the infamous Troggs Tapes...

Such a screwy number from a wonderfully odd band! If I'm not mistaken, this is the only song written by Andy Newman while he was in Thunderclap Newman, and I believe he's the only one still alive from that band. He always looked like he was decades older than the other members.

Another Roxy Music example, B-side to their big hit “Love Is the Drug”:

Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883...

I hear some ideas in that piece which grew into "Manifesto" (the song, not the album).
Cobra handling and cocaine use are a bad mix.
