I know there's an existing Walking Dead thread but since I'm a full season behind I cannot open it for fear of spoilers. Besides, this is a different show and I thought it deserved it's own thread. I enjoyed the pilot episode last night but I have a question for you aficianados. In the original series, Season One, didn't someone have to be bitten by a "Walker" to become a "Walker"? Isn't it in Season Two that they discovered that the "virus" had mutated so that anybody who died became a "Walker" ? So how come in the pilot for this series, a prequel of sorts, people are becoming "Walkers" shortly after dying without having been bitten by another "Walker" ? The show ended with Nick killing Calvin with a gun shot and Calvin turns into a "Walker" ? Am I missing something here?
