    Dregs Reunion!

Just saw an interview with Rod Morgenstein on FB. He confirmed the band will reunite in the medium-term future (i.e., 2016 or 2017). He didn't say whether there would be a tour, album release or both, but did say original keyboardist Steve Davidowski would be involved.

Best news of the day, week and month. A bunch of us have been actively discussing on FB for the past few hours. I will mention again I would love to see the reunion feature Mark O'Connor on violin.

Now THAT would be awesome. I've seen the Dregs with Dr. Sloan and Jerry Goodman, and I've seen O'Connor solo, but Mark back with the Dregs? Awesome.

    No T....

But what the hell, I may go. May means will go in this case. It's a long time off so won't keep my hopes up. Steve is a very busy man.

Yeah, T makes me very very sad indeed. But actually seeing Steve play is a fascinating twist.

Dave LaRue is a monster bassist. No worries for me if he's with The Dregs, again. T can never be replaced, but I'm sure any
keyboard player they recruit would be fine. I'm all in! Hope they return to Slim's in SF.

I've seen them four times and one of those times was with Mark. One (of many) of the cool things about having him there is that he can play a second guitar part when needed.

True that! And as much as I loved Andy, I think Dave is more versatile.

I've seen all incarnations of the (Dixie) Dregs, but the original lineup who forged the band's sound was still the best imo.
no tunes, no dynamics, no nosebone

BTW I saw Andy West mentioned in May on Facebook that keyboardist Mark Parrish has passed away, sad news.

As much of a Morse fan that I am, I've never seen the Dregs, so this is excellent news.

Bummer. Two ex-Dregs keyboard players down.

Yes, and as I said so do I and I don't care. I want a fat guy with an Alembic, shorts and sunglasses.

Wait, that didn't come out right.
