As opposed to the sits a decade or so back, I'd say the Brits have truly yet again produced a number of excellent contemporary progressive acts now; Thumpermonkey, Knifeworld, The Future Kings of England, Trojan Horse, Sanguine Hum, Chrome Hoof, Syd Arthur, Guapo, Schnauser, Stars in Battledress and so on. Of course, the "circuit" itself does appear somewhat internally generated, but this doesn't imply that it won't grow and expand even further. To see some such artists share bills with overtly "independent" giants like Dillinger is particularly rewarding, as parts of the latter's audience would undoubtedly catch on to some of the more "out" things happening in progressive rock today.
