Lemmy - Apparently I am Still Indestructible

Nice article on the former member of Hawkwind...

The real question is, will he outlive Keith Richards?
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

Yes. When it's only Lemmy and Keith left Lemmy will eat Keith.

I love that he switched from whiskey to vodka because the orange is better for him than the coke

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

But then digestive trouble will finish him off and leave us with no one but Dave Crosby.

BTW, I wonder what Lemmy thinks of Jon? Do you think he thiks a lot about Jon?

    Oh, Jon...!

Why couldn't Jon be as masculine as Lemmy? Then interviewers would be anticipating in awe before walking into a room to sit down with Jon, Jon placing a really, really big cup of herb tea before them to be drunk during a three hour session in which Jon gets to the bottom of spiritual matters. Oh, Jon.

I love the line about Rock And Roll Fantasy, i never liked that song from the day it was released and now i know why.

Motorhead lands in st louis the day after i get home from Progday, i'll be a little road weary but if Lemmy can do it then so can i.

It'd still be better than Donnie and Marie Osmond doing Steely Dan on ice.

For those of you who are Lemmy fans I would highly recommend the documentary “Lemmy” from Banger Films that came out a few years ago. They are the same people who did the Rush – Beyond the Lighted Stage Doc. It is a great film and Lemmy is a one of a kind character. I did not learn to appreciate Motorhead until the last decade or so. Since then I have seen them live twice (I think my ears are still bleeding) and enjoyed every moment of their shows.

I'm still amazed that back in the day we thought Motorhead was fast.

Saw Motorhead live about 2 months ago, an outdoor gig. And I must say, it was the best Motorhead gig I'd ever seen and one of the best ever metal gigs I've been too. Lemmy was on form and the crowd were really into it.

In my opinion some of their more recent albums are some of the best of their entire career. "Inferno" for example from a few years ago might be the best they have ever done to my ears.

It was before Scandinavia's metal scene emerged.
