    RIP Masabumi Kikuchi

Goodbye to this monster of the Japanese jazz scene. His albums "Poo-Sun" and "East Wind" are two of my favorites in the genre. I'm looking to get "Hairpin Circus" next. Here's the New York times obituary.

Kochi "Wishes" is one of his benchmark albums. Brilliant collaboration with Terumasa Hino. His albums "Susto" and "One Way Traveller" are prime fusion in the vein of electric Miles Davis.

Personally I'm looking for his "Re-confirmation" lp.

"Wishes" is great too. Forgot about that one! I haven't heard "One Way Traveller" yet but I agree "Susto" is another great one. I guess I'll have to start tracking down "Re-confirmation" too.

Poo Sun and Wishes are my two faves, but I have several of his electric ones and like them all.

Thanks very much to Ken for turning me on to him!
