Was Year of the Black Rainbow part of the Amory Wars story? Maybe it was but it didn't seem like it. And I love that album. Hope this is similar.

I guess what I mean is on YOTBR the lyrics were pretty easy to ignore, more so than on the latest album. The whole Amory thing is basically pretty easy to ignore really.
