    Hugh Hopper Monster Band

    Just got this in Greg Walker's newsletter: Anyone heard this...Looks dynamite
    HOPPER, HUGH - MONSTER BAND $15 Reissue of his 1979 release recorded live in 1973 & 1974

    It's his 3rd solo album.

    Side one was home demos of multi-tracked bass, which are interesting and somewhat cool, but are ruined by the click track.

    Side two was live in 1974 and is mediocre live sound at best.

    It was a huge let-down for me after 1984 and Hopper Tunity Box. YMMV.

    totally agree , the sound of the click track is a pain , but the pieces are very interesting especially if you enjoy Hoppers work with Isotope as three of these demo type pieces eg Golden section , Lily Kong , Sliding Dogs appear in a more completed form on Illusion . Whilst on the topic of Hugh Hopper does anybody have any opinion about Cryptids ? I am considering buying it.
