And, a third track was released on the compilation "An Unauthorized Biography."

i checked out that song 'Slot Machine' from Feedback '86. pretty good written by Steve & Brian.
Brian is singing on it too and of course you hear his signature Red Special guitar sound.
Queen was in hiatus at this time too bad nothing more was developed.

^ I never really thought of it as something that would last more than one album. It seemed like a one-off from day one to me. Just IMO.

It ended because Hackett didn't really enjoy the experience of recording the album...he's said in a few interviews over the years that it became too corporate for him. Note Brian Lane's infamous 'motivated by greed' comment in the making of video.

Some of the songs had promise away from that big mid 80s AOR sound- 'Here I Wait', 'Imagining' and 'Jekyll And Hyde' in particular.

    Good stuff. Thanks!

I have both "GTR" & "Feedback '86", because it was Steve Hackett. Rarely play them. Just don't like the sound of the vocals. Too '80s, pastels, shoulder pads, Guess jeans, & Members Only jackets.

Lol exactly---I do like some of the guitar work and some very good songs---but too much of an effort to make money and sound like an AOR band obvious with the singer---which I hate---I also think they didn't sound great live because the production of the album with all the hook ups to keyboards was hard to reproduce live. ANd I know how good Howe and Hackett can sound live----so missed opportunity ---could have been good with different singer and production.

Right, but Eric Johnson and Trevor Rabin really should have played Hackett and Howe's parts on the album, especially since Rabin nails 'Awaken' on the ARW tour.
