I never hesitate to pick up new music by The Dear Hunter, so I'm looking forward to this one.
I'll also be keeping my eyes open for live dates because I'd love to see them perform at a nice venue.
We attended a show several years ago, but it was in a place with such poor sound that it was not at all enjoyable.
A ProgDay appearance would be sweet.

Fabulous live act...I've seen them a few times and they've never disappointed.

I still scratch my head about why a band this talented is still so far under-the-radar. And I'm tired of talking about The Dear Hunter, and having people think I mean Deerhunter.

Pretentious album title. A nine minute song. Connecting themes. Allusions to previous record. Fantasy artwork. Likely overblown & self-indulgent.

Looks great!! Where can I order!

I must say, I'm loving the songs that I've heard from this so far! "Night On The Town" is excellent. I'll have to familiarize myself with the previous 3 releases to catch myself up on the storyline, I suppose.

I haven't had the pleasure of catching them in concert yet, despite being in a part of the US that they regularly play. Perhaps this year will be the year... so the question is.... Stone Pony, or Philly?

I'm not really familiar with either. I do know of Chon, and I recall sampling some of their music a few months ago. I recall they are kind of a Instrumental Post/Math Rock group, but not totally traditional or stereotypical.

I mentioned this show to the guys in Brice Plays Drums when i saw them last Saturday and they are planning on seeing the show, but not as much for TDH, but for CHON.
