I lived in Haverford and Ardmore while at Villanova, 1980-1983.
When were you there, Lou?

I was a dorm-room Wildcat from 1971 to 1975. Great area to see a lot of great bands from the Main Point to the Spectrum.

Lou did you see the legendary Springsteen concert at Main Point in 1975?

No, it sold out in an instant, but I did see him at the Point in late '73 or early '74. I regret passing up the chance to see him at the seminary (yes, indeed) on campus in January 1973. It was his first show outside of his home base. He invited all 14 people, including a couple friends of mine, back to his hotel. I made sure I saw him when he came back to campus in September of '73. He opened for Jackson Browne. This time 3,500 people showed up.

I do have a recording somewhere of that '75 show at the Point. Great stuff. I believe David Sancious and Vini "Mad Dog" Lopez were no longer in the band by then.
