It's a possible answer, but not the one I had in mind. It could be claimed for example that Asia is not a continent, being actually part of the continent of Eurasia.

    1. What word is this? It is the name of an obscure film whose soundtrack was the debut album of an extremely well known musician. It is also the title of one of the biggest hits of 1995.
    2. What perhaps unexpected thing links the bands The Hollies and Saxon? (No smartarse answers like "both English" or "both feature humans".)
    3. What does Yoko Ono have in common with the band Pendulum?
    4. What band has the odd distinction of being the only British band to have scored a number one hit in the U.S. while never charting at all in the UK?
    5. Name the odd one out: Africa, America, Antarctica, Asia, Australia.
    4. Led Zeppelin? I know they never released singles in the UK.
    5. Australia, because the continent is called Australasia, which includes NZ and other nearby islands, and the wider region including Australasia and the south sea islands is called Oceania.

    2. Something in my memory banks is telling me there's a father-son thing or same name thing going on there. Not sure. Let me dwell on it.

No one has solved any of them yet.

Some more clues to 2 & 3: in each case the link is a person.

Re continents, I think of "Australasia" as including mainland Australia (otherwise known as the Australian continent), Tasmania, New Zealand, and assorted other islands in the region. However all this is immaterial, Remember, this is a musical quiz.

I was nearly going to mention that as a possible answer, then I decided to wait for PeterG to submit it.

No, not correct. I mean, your statement is correct, but that's not the answer I am wanting.

Both groups had guitar players with the last name of Quinn. Maybe that's what you were thinking of, but I don't know that they were related.

    5. Who are we? We were formed in 1975 by our bass player, who comes from the area in Q4.
He comes from Itchycoo Park? Or, he comes from England? I just watched an interview with Kenny Jones where he explains that there were several different Itchycoo Parks, though I'm still not sure what an Itchycoo Park is.

Harris comes from the East End of London, where an itchycoo park (note lowercase, it is not a name) is a slang term, as I wrote before, for any open green space that vagrants drink in and sleep in.

    Okay, some options:

There are no bands from Antarctica (I know there are bands and albums and songs called Antarctica so it can't be that)
There are no instruments from Antarctica

    No.

It might help if I tell you Antarctica is not the odd one out.

Time to supply the answers I think - upside down against the original post in case people want to keep trying.
