    New Martin Gore instru/synth/sci-fi album 'MG' released

    Hi kids;

    As usual...will probably be met with resounding "meh's" from many, but a batch of you might like this.

    Martin Gore (from some little unknown indie band called Depeche Mode) just put out a new album called 'MG.' It is a fully instrumental sci-fi-themed work leaning heavily on analog synths. Got a copy yesterday...I like it quite a bit. Reminds me of Blade Runner, as well as mid-80's Tangerine Dream ala Logos.

    A review that does it better justice than I could: http://thequietus.com/articles/17764...gore-mg-review

    And a track:

    Happy listening!
    J

    Cool! Gore and Vince Clarke did an instrumental album last year that's very interesting.

    A LOT of tracks on the album. I listened to most of them since the whole thing's on YT. Best tracks appear to be "Europa Hymn" (the one John posted), "Islet," "Hum," "Stealth" and the requisite Carpenter-esque track "Crowly." Some of the others sound more like sketches, but the whole thing is dripping with great sounds.

    This is right up my alley, and never would've come to my attention otherwise, so thanks for posting.
