Thread: ProgDay News?

    ProgDay News?

Well into the year, and who knows something? Too darn quiet. Wish list includes Knifeworld, The Knells, Happy Family (where have the Japanese bands been lately?) of course Thinking Plague and for nostalgia, Discipline. And surprise me! Anyone?

It is my local fest and I will be there in any case, but with no NF I need a bit of encouraging nourishment at this time of year...

    Seconded, loud and clear!

And, yes, I realize that at least half of them are not possible in the real world, but still seconded, loud and clear.

I thought Echolyn was going to tour this year and hoped they would be making a return to Storybook Farm.

No matter what, it is doubtless that the terrific ProgDay folks will be putting together another excellent weekend of music. I'll be excited even if (maybe especially if) I don't know any of the bands that get booked.

I've seen The Knells and Discipline (They're great) - but recognizing that maybe you haven't, I'll add to your list ...

Seeing as Happy Family are a Japanese band, I highly doubt it'll happen, but it sure would be sweet, wouldn't it?

Aren't still about 2 months two early for the first announcement and about 5 too early for the last back? I expect to be handed an update on who the Sunday headliner is as I drive into the field on the Saturday.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

Usually I don't know over half of the bands who end up playing ProgDay, For me, it's a discovery festival - like NEARfest, but without the headliners. And aren't the newer, non headliner bands typically the best part of any festival, anyway?
