    And I'll stick with Mr. Doctor. Between the sprechgesang, "regular" singing, and operatic singing, he covered a lot of ground.

    I posted a song by Linda Lewis earlier in which she does it with surprisingly little effort. There’s also Minnie Riperton and Yma Sumac, who I’m sure have been already mentioned.

    The lead singer of:

    Memoirs ('The telegram dropped from my hand') (deep register)

    Another is Karen Carpenter, who can be high as a schoolgirl (Sing), wistful (most songs) and very deep (This Masquerade, Solitaire)

    Jewel. She likes to mix up her genres: at times alt-rock chick, little girl voice, country, rock, and capable of near perfect angelic (if you have heard her sing O Holy Night).
