If you can get good shoes with your favourite band imprinted on them as a bonus then well and good... but I hope no one buys them just for the pretty pictures rather than the design and quality of the shoe. Feet are not things to be trifled with. A T-shirt that doesn't fit properly won't cause you any injury, but an ill-fitting shoe might.

Dammit, now I've got "Purple Sneakers" stuck in my brain.
Actually Converse Chuck Taylor shoes offer little or no support. They're rubber soled & thin canvas where it matters (arch/ankles). When I was growing up (1950-62), in NYC, Chuckies were a damn status symbol. Many kids (incl me) played softball & basketball every day in those shoes not knowing any better in the Eisenhower-lobotomized USA of the 1950s.

    No Chuckies down under?

So nobody’s going to post the sequel?

Supposedly, both pieces in the Sinister Footwear series were intended for a ballet piece. It’s Frank Zappa, though, you kind of have to take anything he said with a grain of salt.

Its true. There was a whole discussion on it at TC, but I just did a search and couldn't find it. I'll post it if I find it. He had magical grand master plans floating around in that grey meatball of his that never came to fruition. Just not enough days, hours, and minutes in Zappa's life to accomplish what he wanted to. Tack on another 20 years to his life and imagine his output right now - its mindblowing to the nth degree to even begin to wrap your heard around.
