BTW a lot of TED talks are on Netflix now. I don't know who gets to pick which ones.
At the end of the day, when all is said and done, the jury's still out.
TED is primarily geared towards the economically privileged neoliberal elite backslapping each other, ruthlessly networking and competing over who is the better human being. If you’re someone who has benefited from Capitalism, even simply by being born – if you’re a success, the top of the pile, the cream of the crop – you can alleviate your Liberal guilt by becoming a TED speaker. You too can participate in systems of oppression, and do so guilt-free by openly speaking out against them, using them to your maximum advantage, and then saying vaguely that you’re trying to change something about them. You’re not quite sure what, but you’re open to suggestions.
Hell, they ain't even old-timey ! - Homer Stokes
There are some great shows on there, there are some poor shows on there.
Some are eye-opening educational, and others I'll bitch and cry and moan and whine about.
I don't seem to watch too many I don't like.
YMMV
^^That's amazing! I'll brook no more criticism of Ted or Tedx.
Just one thing, though. In order to make that "clarinet", he needed to have a saxaphone at his disposal as well as a carrot. Isn't that kind of cheating?
Here's a couple lists of TED talks to play with
