Thanks for posting that, it was very informative. Two things struck me. First, I had no idea he had a special pickup for his sustain (he called it a sustainer pickup). I had always assumed he got his sustain as a combination of the Les Paul's natural sustain ability combined with some kind of sustain effect or a lot of echo/reverb. Second, he didn't seem to know what to talk about until he played something and then he went about explaining it. He got a lot better as the segment went on because of that.
