I'm adding the new Glass Hammer to the list. I'm digging the fusion vibe that's crept into their wonderful symph sound.

Just received the latest Ghost Rhythms cd "Madeleine". A 2cd set with great French prog chamber rock with some dark edges. I hear some Aranis in Rock- vibe with a touch of Present. A really strong recommendation from my side!
Chech out there site on bandcamp: ghostrhythms.bandcamp.com

    Cheers,

Pretty much the best record I've heard in the last 2+ years.
This is really good! Thanks for the reco - I think I'll pick this one up! And it reminds me, I quite enjoyed The Decemberists' new release in 2015.

Other favorites of mine I think have already been mentioned:
Steven Wilson - Head. Cannot. Erase.
Sanguine Hum - Now We Have Light

    hey very cool to hear!

It's really a fresh sounding record, that has seemed to get better with each time I listen to it.

The band are actually looking to release it on Vinyl eventually, which given I'm into collecting Vinyl, I will not be passing up.

I agree with RIo-grant, Ghost Rhythms - Madeleine is an excellent double album. Intriguing compositions that are played in a superb way. An jazz influenced chamber rock album. To me this will turn out to be one of the best albums of 2015.

...and it's only April. This is a wonderful time to be a prog fan, finances aside.

I can't believe we are already 4 months into 2015. I think I have one from 2015 and it's by Methexis and includes guest appearances by members from bands like Anglagard, Agents Of Mercy, The Enid and Birds & Buildings. A concept album that is very entertaining.

Seconded! Excellent stuff. A jazzed-up Aranis. Probably my album of the year so far.
