    Yes: High Vibration

Saw this on Amazon. It seems to be a box set of all their albums in high res bit rate stereo. Anyone hear or own this?
Compact Disk brought high fidelity to the masses and audiophiles will never forgive it for that

Too many re issue box sets of YES to ever keep track of. I prefer 1970's vinyl pressings in good shape and just leave it at that.
    Sounds great.

My god man. Have you any idea what you're saying?! Artists with a 40th anniversary of an album coming up will have product to sell and poor Steven Wilson has got bills to pay!

Bump. I've read great reviews saying it's the best stereo mix they've heard. It's ungodly expensive but I might be able to get it used...

It's awful. Google Yes High Vibration SACD box. Compressed garbage with smiley EQ. Same guy mastered it who did the Yes catalog on Japanese mini lp CDs. Reviews are almost universally horrible that I've seen (don't know about Amazon).

That's all I need to know. I initially bought those when they came out in 2000 or 2001 (whatever it was) and ended up selling all of them except one that Roger Dean had signed. Close to the Edge, in particular, sounded atrocious. The organ parts had very audible clipping.

...Until the next, even MORE compressed remix is released -- for EVEN MORE money. Fanboys need regular milking, afterall, or their udders will explode.

With any luck Yes'll never have to release new music ever again.

Well, you don't expect anyone to make money off that crap they call "rock music" now, do you?!
