    Jon Anderson More Health problems

Jon Anderson‘s health woes continue, as he reveals a new ailment that will require surgery. Anderson, who saw his former band Yes move on without him during a previous bout of respiratory illness, says he will have to undergo a procedure to correct a severe sinus issue.

Anderson thanks fans for their “kind thoughts and words regarding” this latest health issue in a recent Facebook post: “I will be better very soon. I was told by my specialist at UCLA that I will be a different person after the operation.”

While Yes continued forward with a new singer, Jon Davison, Anderson has been working in a new group alongside violinist Jean-Luc Ponty. They debuted the Anderson-Ponty Band in a September 2014 concert held at Boulder, Colo. The show was recorded for later release.

There’s no word yet on whether this sinus operation will impact Anderson’s previously announced plans to tour this summer with the Anderson Ponty Band.

Despite this latest setback, Anderson has remained in good spirits. He said he jokingly asked his doctor, “Will I be able to play the violin?” and the doctor replied, “Yes, of course,” to which Anderson, who doesn’t know how to play the violin, responded, “Wow! Now, that’s cool.”

July, 2015: The Anderson/Ponty band's tour is postponed while they make Jamie Glaser rearrange their repertoire around Anderson's new baritone singing voice that he was left with following sinus surgery.

Actually, Jon will now be fronting both Asia and King Crimson, with Eddie Jobson rethinking the whole end of U.K.

King Crimson better perform "Prince Rupert Awakes" now, at long last.

Yes, it's so funny that Jon will have to have surgery. Let's make joke about it!
And nobody simply said: "Good luck, Jon! Hope you will feel better soon"!

Hopefully, the students there at UCLA won't get their patients mixed up, with Jon tragically awakening as Joan Anderson -- still with a sinus problem.

I recently found out that Jon became a US citizen about three years ago. Does he live in Asheville, NC, or is that where his agent is based? I keep seeing Jon Anderson press releases emenating from "Asheville, NC" for some reason.

I'm pretty sure Jon lives in California.

I thought so, too -- in the Bay Area away from the metro areas a bit.

Maybe he lives next door to Lemmy Kilminster.

Rumour rather has it he'll form an acapella trio with Jon Davison and Benoit David called Davijon. They'll be doing the extremely extended version of "Teakbois" with the keys guy from Asia guesting, merging it with "Heat of the Moment" into "Heatbois".

Well I for one hope that Jon is soon blowing his nose as much as he is his career.

I had similar issues as him around the same time and now I still have some of those issues. I even have the sinus thing although not to the extent he does. It's like we are lost twins or something.

Is this really a "new" health problem or is it a recently diagnosed underlying thing that has been around and contributed to his previous problems? Maybe he comes back from the surgery sounding rejuvenated?

Yes, I was thinking the same thing, too. JA and his docs must've known he had sinus problems in addition to the asthma problem that nearly killed him a few years ago. Maybe the sinus tract problem has never repaired itself after whatever pulmonary therapy or therapies he's been going through during the past few years.

Well, that's a pretty nice place to be. Maybe he can get some free promotional geetars from the nearby Ernie Ball / Musicman factory.

Jon has often stated that if he ever got an intestinal problem he'll move to the Spokane area.

Maybe Benoit can replace him on the APB tour this Spring/Summer

    Wishing Jon a speedy recovery!
