    Best of 2015

Hi there everyone! Is it too early to do a Best of 2015? Hardly! I'd rather begin compiling the new releases now, as many of the January / February / March releases tend to fall through the memory cracks when it comes time to name everything at the year's end. So, let's begin! Please name only albums that have already been released, please.

    Here's a few I've acquired so far ...

    Schnellertollermeier - X
King Crimson - Live at the Orpheum
    Magma - Slag Tanz
The Decemberists - What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World
    Beardfish - +4626-Comfortzone
    Tesla Manaf - s/t
simakDialog - Live at the Orion
Churn Milk Joan - Dethroned Hog
    Kandinsky Effect - Somnambulist
    Morgan Agren - Batterie Delux

    ... and it's only February!

Haven't listened to not nearly as much as i've acquired but i DID go through the new Bjork to rave reviews...and honestly, i found it to have about 4 good moments but despite the trauma she's definitely endured this simply wasn't good sounding to these ears.

So now that we are 1/4 way through the year I think we may be able to revive this thread a bit and get some updates.

Can you tell a little bit more abouts that SchnellerTollerMeier? I was impressed by the sample track, but I'm afraid this is not my casual taste. Is the album got enough variety in it? or is it just all about that 'brutal jazz' thing? ...

It's got a minimalist rock vibe along with the brutal jazz, stylistically I wouldn't say it's hugely varied but there's enough jazz and rock going amongst the heavy experimentation to provide lots of interest.

It's great. Been awhile since I've heard it, but I don't recall much, if any, jazz elements. Very heavy, lots of 'noise' elements, but good fun. If you liked the sample, you'll like the album.

The long title track is by far the best part; nothing else really registers with me. I guess it takes up enough of the album to recommend it, if you're into that sort of thing. But only just barely. Not much variety at all, to answer your question.

^ Ah man, this I disagree with. My favorite is "Massacre du Printemps". Concise anarchy. (8 mins)
