    Klaus Schulze - new release

Klaus Schulze has released a "boot" recording on 2 CDs. It's called "Stars are Burning", & is taken from a concert performed on 16 April 1977 with an attached 30 minute bonus track performed in 1979.

For me, this is KS's most interesting period but I'm a little leery about putting the "auto-buy" pilot light on just yet.

    Anyone else heard of this?

Anything from this period is pretty much an auto-buy for me.

As opposed to the auto-ignore stuff he churns out with Lisa Gerrard.

Does it matter that this waste of time is what makes a life for you?

Anything outside the '80s is worth looking into IMO, but I can't say autobuy because he has about 8 billion releases. I like all the post-Sample Period releases that I've heard.

I'd be curious to buy anything he decides to release from the 70's.

I've read a few reviews on this one, and it is definitely a boot...apparently there's some annoying coughing or audience noise at several points.

Between the Silver/Historic/Ultimate editions and the various bonus tracks on the last round of reissues, I'm kind of leaning against this one, despite my fondness for the era.
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

Burning this to disc now. It was in a md5 flac form so I had to convert to regular? flac. I'll let you know how it sounds.

Unfortunately, "the last round of reissues" are now out of print, because the label collapsed. And yeah, one would think that the La Vie Electronique releases would negate the "need" for anything further, but guess what! There's those of us, for whom, "too much is never enough" (to quote Billy Idol, in an ancient MTV promo).

Listened to disc one in the car and it sounded really good. Listening to disc two at home now and it sounds great.

Interesting. This style of music is after the period I really enjoy, but I'll stay tuned. Thanks for the post.
