    Thank You Scientist on tour with Periphery in early 2015

    Hi folks;

    Looks like TYS are along for the ride with Periphery's winter tour:

    I'll be seeing 'em at the Fillmore on 2/13. Good times!
    If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

    This is a tough one - looks like they are the 4th band on the bill, and I honestly have little to no interest in the others. (Periphery is hit or miss, with the ratio of miss to hit too high).

    Plus the show in Clifton Park, NY (which is my home town) is on my wife's birthday...that might be a tough sell.

    ^^I feel the same. I don't care much for the other bands, and I imagine that the TYS set will be pretty short. Still, any chance to see them is a good thing, and for anyone who likes the other bands, or has never seen TYS live, it should be a no-brainer. I'm also curious to see the new bass player.

    Didn't realize TYS had a new bass player.

    I just noticed that TYS released a remixed/remastered version of their Maps of Nonexistent Places album back in September. Anyone heard it? As much as I love their music, I can't listen to the version I have for more than 3 or 4 songs because of the loud mastering. I'd buy the remix if it were a significant improvement.

    The main difference for me, is the clarity of the vocals, and being able to hear some backing vocals.. It's still pretty chaotic, but not as loud, I'd say. Some people don't like the new mix...feeling it loses something, but I like 'em both!

    I'll probably just get it so I can hear for myself out of curiosity if nothing else.

    I was thinking of going to the Philly show. Does anyone know anything about the venue? District n9e? Which slot are TYS set to perform on that night? What is to be said about the other bands? Genre, please?
