To my eternal shame, I only heard of this today! If this is just the sampler, the full album should be immense!
What if the Hokey Cokey really IS what it's all about?

Ok guys Im naturally mega biased and have a vested interest but its a terrific album imo, melodic, proggy, and I think John suprised himself even with his vocals!, the harmonies are great too and the guests contributions are terrific. The band have put so much work into it as well that their enthusiasm knows no bounds.

Frosty Beedle was a happy, jolly soul. Were his eyes made of coal?

2013 is sounding like another good year for Prog music.

Thanks Dean, Timmy et al for your kind words ... I somehow see that despite this being a very English sort of CD it should appeal to the U.S. Market...be interested to know what the U.S. thinks??

One guy in Canada thinks it's pretty cool ....

Ok, have this cd now for a week now and I am absolutely loving it. What I like about it is that guitars are taking a backseat and keyboards and bass are upfront. But it isn't in the ELP / Wakeman kind of vein at all as the keyboards tend to be focused on creating a great atmosphere or even an orchestral feel. Songs are highly melodic and cover quite a bit of ground but there aren't big instrumental stretches although they do pop up here and there and at those moments, which are carefully chosen for maximum effect, the music reaches quite a highwater mark. Vocals parts are very well done by John Young with a lot of the higher harmonies done by Nick Beggs giving this album a nice Yes vibe.

Cool album which has an addictive quality as well.

Thanks for that Chris, the band have had a great reaction to this release over on their facebook and its sold well too here in Europe--indeed has been outseliing some of the "bigger" name releases on Amazon in the UK. I too thought it had a bit of "Yes" vibe when I first heard it.

I'm still patiently waiting for my CD to arrive. Based on what I heard in the sampler, I'm sure it's going to be on heavy rotation here at my house!
