Are they sacred cows? I just assumed they were run of the mill AOR.

I never considered songs like "Cheyenne Anthem," "Incomudro," and "Song For America" to be run-of-the-mill AOR.

Not going to sift through to see if it’s been mentioned already but...Zarathustra by Museo Rosenbach.

Serious progressive rock fans know that The Wall isn't even the best Floyd album, never mind being the best album ever by anyone (as I used the poseurs who posted on the old AOL Floyd board describe the album).

Kansas is a funny beast...on the one hand you have the songs you mentioned and others like Icarus, The Pinnacle, Magnum Opus, etc that are great prog...then you have the horrid attempts at radio play like It Takes a Woman's Love to Make a Man, etc. Either way, I don't consider Kansas to be "prog enough" to qualify as a sacred cow

Definitely not the best Floyd album, but it's definitely prog.

Agreed. Some really good material on Kansas' 70s albums, but even their stronger stuff I find somewhat more slick than the 60s/early 70s prog. The 'rawk n roll' moments don't do much for me.
