Nice article as he hits Buffalo. http://www.examiner.com/article/expe...s-at-the-tralf
Tomorrow, NYC. Probably hafta work late, bummer, gonna try hard to make it though. I've seen him solo (hard to call it solo with the Slicksters in tow, at least one this time.) four or five times over the years, he's having as much fun as anyone else on the planet when he plays. Love it. From '09-
"Henry Cow always wanted to push itself, so sometimes we would write music that we couldn't actually play – I found that very encouraging." - Lindsay Cooper, 1998
"I have nothing to do with Endless River. Phew! This is not rocket science people, get a grip." - Roger Waters, 2014
"I'm a collector. And I've always just seemed to collect personalities." - David Bowie, 1973

<< Dude made an "O" face at the crowd every time he jammed out on his gitfiddle, which didn't quite help...>>

Oh my god -- I've never heard of him before and I wand to kick him in the nuts.

I'll be opening the show Sunday night (Nov 2) at St. Croix Casino in Turtle Lake WI! Thrilled to get the opportunity and slightly terrified!

In from the show...i liked it overall but these snippet-medley things they played the ENTIRE night got old, fast...the ONLY songs they did straight through were segments of E, Indiscipline, and City Of Tiny Lights...all were in fine to overplaying form; i chuckled to myself thinking how much Belew is resembling Bozo the clown lately...no FLUX stuff around...also poor mix, lacked bass.

Went to see the trio last friday night, i agree with this snippet thing - although i was happy to be happy with what i had to be happy with, just hearing a scant verse and chorus of Pretty Pink Rose or Future Vision or Inner Revolution or Young Lions was down right cruel. I guess this falls in with the Flux concept.
    Goddamn it was fun though!

I get the feeling Adrian truly enjoys what he is doing and can just keep doing it forever, his voice and guitar skills are better than ever.
This current lineup is amazing - i think Adrian needs these younger players to keep up with his energy level and it works splendidly.

Agreed. Of course I couldn't help being disappointed when Eric left, but Tobias was far from a disappointment even when he first stepped in, and now this trio's also become an absolute monster in their own way.

They played great last night. I am in the minority on this, but last night had a certain energy and enthusiasm onstage that was missing at the KC show. Very much IMHO.
I saw them last night, I told Adrian , I saw Crimson and they were great, but I sure missed you.

    Concert was awesome.

I was at the NJ Proghouse show with Library Jon. I agree with the others saying this medley thing sucked. The setlist was great. I just wish he played the entire songs not just snippets. Now I understand he would then be only able to play some of the songs, but still I would rather that than the snippets. Man. All of Momer, Lone Rhino, Big Electric Cat, Crimson stuff etc would be great. Saw Belew early 80s at The Bottom Line in NYC. Those were the days. I guess I'm a dinosaur.

I think he did an "ADD" show showcasing his entire career and careening from song to song in the style of his new smartphone app FLUX which goes quickly between various snippets and ideas much like his mid-90's album OP ZOP TOO WAH hinted at. I KNEW some people would not dig the medley style but I was ok as he went from song to song in interesting ways. It wasn't just verse 1, chorus 1 then a segue. He would jump into weird places of songs without a hitch. Idea-wise you win because verse 1 is usually the same as verse 2, chorus 1 the same more or less as chorus 2-especially in his more Beatles/MOR/Pop songs he did in the late 80's/early 90's. Loved it.
