    John Goodsall news

Need a JG fix? YouTube has songs with him playing with Franz Pusch.

The song I heard off a CD sampler (Chemical God) is pretty bad.

Everything I've heard of his since The Fire Merchants has been "pretty bad," sad to say. Dunno why. He used to be pretty reliably excellent.

    This is excreable:

Why doesn't he do stuff like this anymore? Did he have a stroke or something?

Meh. Not nearly as good as anything put out under the Brand X name, except for that crappy X Files comp.

Frankenstein say "Fire bad! Fire Merchants good!" I wish those guys had toured more, glad to see there were at least a few live shows.

Wondering if Goodsall has a substance abuse problem from some things I've heard.

I don't know why he's not recording great music currently. He's on Facebook. Ask him. Fire Merchants was great stuff. I like the X Files album as well.

    But I'm not.

And I can't imagine somebody asking, "Why aren't you doing great music anymore?" would get a civil answer.

If you put it like that, you deserve a stupid answer, or no answer. I doubt he would want to explain his current activities, in any case. Life
in Minnesota has evidently slowed him down.

They have a picture of Jimi playing right handed in the video. Did someone flip the negative around.

And to see Kevin Gilbert's name ("Produced, engineered and mixed for about the cost of a cup of coffee at Lawnmower") on "Landlords Of Atlantis" makes it evenmore special.

Great live clip of Fire Merchants. Chester Thompson is worth the price of admission.

Yeah! shame that the video is out of sync with the (mono) audio in places, but still great to see. Chester reminded me of Jordan Peele (from Key & Peele comedy duo) in that clip.

NEARFest performance was painful to watch....a few months later, my band warmed up for Tunnels here in Atlanta. As I was getting Percy Jones to sign my NF program, I mentioned to him that I saw them at NF, he just rolled his eyes and said...and I quote..."Don't remind me!!"

Back in the late 90's or early 2000's he got pissed and walked off stage and out of the club in Baltimore. Too much caffeine I guess.
