Barracuda Triangle (Bodin, Reingold, Lehrmann) power prog trio

Now this sounds really good - from The Flower Kings family:
    Glad to see Bodin back!

Reingold short funny interview about it:

    I've got it pre-ordered already.

From Bodin's FB: "Barracuda Triangle the instrumental super power prog trio!!!

Tomas Bodin keyboards, Jonas Reingold Bass/Guitars/Taurus Pedals, Felix Lehrmann Drums. This project is something c o m p l e t e different compared any of The Flower Kings side projects.

The new album "Electro Shock Therapy" have 9 songs (all in all 62 minutes long)

    1 Black Days(5.04)
    2 Tumoro (6.04)
    3 Acid Rain (7.16)
4 Caressing the moment in tranquilized ecstasy (8.24)
5 Tears in blue rain (3.18)
    6 Electro Shock Therapy (8.29)
    7 Too much therapy (8.56)
    8 Strom (7.35)
    9 The last one (5.44)

The music is y e s ugly but in the same time beautiful! It´s raw & meditative, dark & light. It is sad, joyful, insane and controlled! But most of all very very unexpected. "

Just got this yesterday. It's pretty good! I was not that intrigued after listening to the samples (I had followed the YouTube link in the original post), but hearing full tracks now I'm much more impressed.

I've listened to it a couple times now. Good stuff. The last track, appropriately titled "The Last One", was especially great I thought. Great bass from Jonas! I think Lehrmann has fit perfect into TFK. It is really amazing how many fantastic drummers the Flower Kings have had. All different but somehow they have all fit perfect.

Does anyone know what Zoltan, Marcus and Jaime are up to these days? I saw Zoltan drummed on a prog album by Minstrels Ghost - I've been thinking about buying it because of that.

I haven't really heard anything about what they are up to. I had no idea Zoltan played with Minstrels Ghost. Never heard of Minstrels Ghost either.

I bought this CD a few weeks ago. So far, I have enjoyed a few listens. However, I am quick to like anything TFK related !!

I love Keyboard trios much more than Power (Guitar) trios

and I loved Bodin's first solo album a ton... gonna hafta get this!
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?
