Very cool. I'm guessing Julian Cope was into her the same way he was into Renate Knaupp of Amon Duul II.

Always I would include Stella Vander, but I think one of the hidden treasures of Magma is Isabelle Feuillebois:

All three in happier days (Himiko Paganotti):

And Diamanda Galas is the scariest vocalist in the world, bar none. What she did with JPJ is nothing compared to her own vocal work.

I'm not lazy. I just work so fast I'm always done.

No voice quite like Amy Darby

The band Aslan is so obscure I am even having problems finding the personnel list. I have heard the main singer's name once, now just to track it down....

Annie Clark (St. Vincent) currently has a lot of my attention, plus I think she's an interesting guitarist

I really dig Carla Kihlstedt of Rabbit Rabbit, especially after seeing them live a few years back.

Donna Godchaux. This is not one of her better efforts. Her only lead vocal was on the song Sunrise (Terrapin Station). A much better performance in the studio, check that one out instead.

Numerous Japanese bands with names I cannot remember.
Familiar with bolded. Checking out some of the others. Thanks.

Of those I didnt know about, Moetar interests me the most. A bit like some combination of Half-Past Four and District 97.

Definitely try Toccata. Andrea Medina is a force of nature. Whatever became of this band?

I think most folks around here are partial to "The Water Road". Personally, I like "One For Sorrow...". The newest "The Clockwork Universe" I haven't become that familiar with, but has the same hooks.
