TCM runs old horror...but what I watch every season is Halloween Wars on Food Network. Some of that stuff looks like tricks from dark rides or haunted houses it is so good!

    The Exorcist
The Exorcist:Legion (true sequel, therefore I leave out the III)....very creepy. the confessional booth scene is still quite chilling

    The Changeling
The Omen, Damien and The Final Conflict

Whatever is on TCM. I have some Christmas and New Years rituals but nothing for Halloween except to enjoy the crisp autumn air which I can't do here in Florida.

I got the Universal monster collection on Blu Ray yesterday.

Watched Dracula last night along with the three documentaries .

    Looks fantastic!

I wonder if this new Dracula movie is worth seeing. what's up with all the ceaseless PG horror movies now anyways. I know an R rating doesn't mean it's going to be any better...cue up Deliver Us From Evil. I just think some of the edge you get is lacking in the PG counterparts. with some of these newer movies, it's like watching The Exorcist on ABC Family. it's hard to beat any of the good oldies though. nothing has even come close to making me squeamish in a long time.

I always try to watch something new or I haven't seen in a while. I picked up the Invasion of the Body Snatchers 2nd remake? with Donald Sutherland and Brooke Adams & Leonard Nimoy. I generally prefer the original, but have a friend that thinks this version is better. I haven't seen any of the other remakes.

The Haunting is usually shown on TCM, so I'll watch that one if I can.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre & Night of Living Dead are pretty good staples.

Wondered if anyone had seen Blair Witch 2?

I saw the Omen 1,2, and 3 early in the month those are well made.

I haven't stayed too current on recent horror films if anyone wants to suggest something. The last one I enjoyed was The Conjuring.

For new horror, check out Kill List.

    here's a desription from Netflix:

Out-of-work hit man Jay and his crony team up for a job that goes from routine to obscene as the call of duty takes a toll on Jay's sanity.

I watched it some time this past year. Interesting how un-graphic horror movies were back then. They'd never show a stake actually puncturing a body. But the creepy atmosphere was definitely there!

Pretty low budget, but I thought this was pretty cool. Dug the ending

Some of my musts around this time of year are :

    Dark Night of the Scarecrow
    Trick R Treat
    Pumpkinhead
    The Wicker Man (original)

Then I'll always toss in some Fulci or Argento horrors like The Beyond and Suspiria and top it off with some tasty 80's 'in the woods' slashers like Just Before Dawn and The Burning

Wondered if anyone had seen Open Grave or Blood Glacier (foreign film)?

Just saw Cabin in the Woods. Whew, that sucker is intense. A slasher/spam in a cabin movie where there's a (reasonably) good reason for all the bad shit that's happening.
Cobra handling and cocaine use are a bad mix.

Yes, I like Cabin in the Woods too.

I watched this video (Power of the Witch) on YT last night. It's not particularly frightening or anything, but I found it interesting:

I watched Nightmare City last night. Sort of a zombie, virus story filmed in Italy. It was a bit cheesy but ok, fun.
