I looked through her list of movies and I think the only ones I've seen are The Shootist and Misery.
If you want to see Bacall at her best, the movie "To Have & Have Not", with her yet to be husband Bogart is the one imo.
One of the classic lines in movie history comes from Bacall when she says to Bogart's character, "You know how to whistle, don't ya Steve? You just put your lips together and blow"
RIP to a classy lady to the end. My mother once struck up a conversation with her at Bloomingdale's, where they were both shopping, and told the 10 year old me that she was delightful and down to earth.
"My choice early in life was either to be a piano player in a whorehouse or a politician, and to tell the truth, there's hardly any difference"

She was one of the most attractive stars of that era, IMO.

The last vestages of Hollywood's Golden Age vanish by attrition. Bacall was royalty.
"The White Zone is for loading and unloading only. If you got to load or unload go to the White Zone!"
David Niven's memoir of his days in Hollywood,"Bring On The Empty Horses" has many passages recalling Niven's long standing friendship with Bogart and Bacall.
Bogie was no walk in the park to live with, according to Niven, and Bacall was one tough cookie, well able/willing to do battle with Bogie and to let his foibles and vices go by the wayside, when she thought that a battle wasn't winnable.
A good read, as is Niven's first memoir,The Moons A Balloon.I enjoyed them both.

She was in a couple of Rockford Files, too...

RIP Slim.
The older I get, the better I was.
Bacall was a diminutive woman who projected an aura of steel. She was one-of-a-kind.
I saw her on the set of a film called "Mr. North" when I lived in Rhode Island. I pointed her out to an old man who looked at her and said "She hasn't aged well". He hadn't either. She was one of those few stars who didn't go for the "nip and tuck". I saw Robert Mitchum driving a Model A Ford that day as well. I never have had a chance to see the movie.
