Just ordered "Second Sound" (thanks to this thread).
I'll do it for you: "Why did you wait this long, old man?"
Answer:

Damn, the one weekend that I have unalterable plans for.

How was it?
Coming September 1st - "Dean Watson Revisited"!
Druckfarben put on a very good example of how live music should be presented. They performed a selection of new and not so new tunes in a very polished manner. Unfortunately, the sonic quality did not equal that delivery. The main problem being that it was way too loud! The mix was just OK, with Will (keys) being relegated to the quiet zone. Another problem was the use of stage lights behind the band, which did nothing but blind the audience and make taking pictures very difficult.

It was great to hear the new tunes live! Their rehearsal time really paid off, and the power and energy of the new material really came through. They pulled off everything you could ask for from Second Sound, short of playing the entire epic title track. I was okay with the mix and volume, but some did not like it at all, so there ya go.

If I knew about this, I'd have gone... I'm in TO. Friend of mine used to play with Troy and said he scared him one night by playing the Relayer album really loud.
