Sadly, another fine musician gone...:(:(
http://www.wigwam.fi/
started my homework... soon Duncan, it will be soon :)
"Steve Howe is in full control" is as I understand it. It will be the Yes CD that he wants to make then... so not a case of too many cooks ... So if it's bad, there is one to blame. but, if it's...
low expectations, but I hope for the best... just hope they add a bit more pepper to the tracks... That last CD was pretty bland.
went cookie hunting and corrected the problem :) , now I hope it stays fixed :)
I really wish I didn't have to log in every time I come onto the site... but, if It's not too late, I sent my info.
cheers
I remember Chris fondly... If its not too late, I'd like to take part in this...
liked it, what I heard on progstreaming... on my buy list, warning, the keyboard patches have a bit of an 80's feel... If that's not your cup of tea, you have been warned. Otherwise, good stuff!
He's a regular member of Jadis for the last couple of years... seems to be good with that level of involvement with the industry.

Looks like this was recorded very early last year (before you know what), and released at the end of November.
I know these guys still have some fans here at the PE....
An IQ Archive release? Likely never, If your country doesn't have mail, I'd move...
Own both, enjoy both, I find that the Other Side may be a better cd by writing, but Mega feels more like Nektar by style. I hear a lot more Roy influenced music in that one. Other Side sounds a bit...
I thought it sounded rather brickwalled, but I was hoping it was just the clip they used.
Colosseum without Hiseman and Greenslade,,, Guess if Mike Love can tour as the Beach Boys this is possible...:roll
mind you they don't have a choice. could have called it "The Colosseum...
That first Siiilk CD is really good! thanks to this link for bringing it to my attention!
I'm in the camp of "want these unreleased tracks but already own Live in Lyon" so I don't know when or if I'll ever buy this...
If your going to do this, do it right!
http://www.can-am.ca/
My pre-ordered copy on Amazon.ca is locked in at 49.58 Can$. It's kind of crazy that its 141.82 right now... :)
listened to the 30 second clips they have included from each track....lol, really doesn't give you a clue about what a great CD this is! :)
I'd call this Scraping the Barrel, but they have already done one of those!
hope we get a SW remix of the first lp and an expanded Playing The Fool out of this eventually... Way out of my wheel-house, why would I want to replace ALL of the Gentle Giant stuff I've gotten...
I hate these labels... its all the same to me. Just some bands wear their influences more openly than others. Some bands write and play better than others. I never considered Deyss a neo-prog band,...
big Thumbs up to "The Watch" seen them twice because they will play Ontario cities!!!
like Comedy Of Errors, then you should check out Citizen Cain, and then you fall down the slippery slope of neoprog... :)
That's the idea, just enough to kind of justify the release. However you work it, the reality is that there are people (possibly stupid) like me that want the collection to be consistent.
Plus...
still would like to see "Living in the Past" in the book format to match everything else on my bookshelf, I just felt that the full Carnegie Hall show would help justify it. Perhaps, a few more early...
what JJ8 says is what I hope for...
coming up on $30k with 6 days to go. :)
solid record from a band with many solid records.
Big push came today from someone/s and their done. New cd will happen! 🙂
$5572 still needed, listen to the link (message #33), and be the judge. It would be nice for the bands morale I would think if this didn't have to come right down to the wire...
Looks like $6,000 in 10 days is still needed. Hope they make it.

a good 4 minutes of bits from the new CD. If your on the fence...
Resurrection is sort of a reimagining of Emile, certainly not note for note and with parts added and/or missing. Great stuff!
questions answered
Christian Décamps - Lead vocals, Keyboards (after 1970)
Tristan Décamps - Keyboards, Backing Vocals (after 1997)
Hassan Hajdi - Guitars (after 1997)
Thierry Sidhoum - Bass...
Surprised by the silence... these guys still bring it!
As always, lurking just under the radar, a new live package from Ange.
Happy! the last studio CD was very strong, and this from that tour.

Zero Zero is classic! ; Hunting of The Snark musical project constantly lingers between grandiose and grotesque.. totally agree with that! Waves is pretty decent too!

Let the celebrating commence! :D:D:D:D:D:D
I'm another who is glad for the CD format. got it on my must buy list and will await its release. never been disappointed by your art. :)

Please
very rare with a store bought CD, CDR's however its a different story with anything over 7 or 8 years old being a proverbial crapshoot.
This one slipped under the radar for me in 2018... will have to investigate it further. 😀
all Gold!
what kind of quality are w talking here?
I have boots of some of these shows, so I'm wondering if we are just getting those cleaned up,
or are we talking soundboards recordings?
totally agree, but I didn't want to create a list of bad releases per se; as it is just my opinion, so I tried to keep it positive where possible.
Yeah, A&M are excellent.
While they are certainly not Italian, France's Ange is similar in that its great stuff except for the 6 lps they recorded between 1981-1988. :D
Been in a real Italian prog playing mood recently and have been going through the catalogues of the big three bands deciding what is really good to one of the prog musical taste.
This is what I,...
Are these new recordings "note for note" new live recordings or do they update and rework the material a bit?
I'd rank them
- Planets.
- Time to Turn.
- Destination.
- The Tides Return Forever.
- Performance.
- Metromania.
- Ocean II. (Music's great, Lyrics not so much)
- Visionary. (meh all around)
That double live was amazing! while pt1 was ok (speaking parts were a little off-putting), that Live recording stayed in my home rotation for the longest time. Stellar!
That track was Nome, progatron (great show in Montreal wasn't it).. I heard the live version of another called Threes that is really out there! Looking forward to the new CD bigtime.
Believe I took care of this in Jan/Feb :)
Dusty Chesterfield – bass, keyboards ??? Is this a strange alias for Jim Crichton?
Ditto for me, exact same situation as Progatron... do find buying from the UK has still postage reasonable as well and that has taken some of the USA business.
liked it... different but good!
Not quite as good as "Echo and Boo" (IMHO) but still very worthwhile! :)
