Downloaded this yesterday. Really enjoying it - quality as you would expect from the 2 gentlemen involved.
Just pre-ordered the vinyl. Looking forward to it.
European tour announced. I’ve snagged 2 centre tickets in row B for Glasgow at end of September
Following your review of The Stone House by Wingfield, Reuter et al, I took the plunge and got the CD. One of my best buys this year. Keep up the great work.
So having your "family" try to prevent you using your own name professionally makes you a "whiny little bitch". Interesting perspective you have on life.
To be fair, IMO, YesWest were just like Journey. Either way I think RRHOF is a complete irrelevance. Doesn't change my opinion on what music I do and don't like so see no point to it.
My box arrived in Scotland yesterday. I was a "Z-funder" at $75 (£50 based on the exchange rate at the time). Lovely package well put together with 18 discs. Took a few minutes to get through all the...
There goes the plan for the stadium tour next year.
What have you done? Just can't wait for the comments that will follow your post.
It's always fascinating to get a brief glimpse into the parallel universe that you seem to occupy. IMO, JA thinks he is Yes and it really grates with him that he is not in the band and doesn't own...
100% agree
Did Steve Howe do something bad to you when you were a small boy? You seem to carrying a massive grudge.
Gone fishing?
I agree with all of that. Very enjoyable but always feels like I've heard the same lyrics many times in one listen.
They can change after they bring Tales to the UK
I agree. IMHO, Jon didn't need any help to sabotage his career in the 80s.
No you're not. What you have is a bunch of people who think everything should be as they claim to remember it and how they want it to be. While their lives may have changed over time, they can't...
Why is there a difference? "Rock stars" are fortunate that they can do things that aren't constrained like "normal" jobs are. Therefore they'll do what they want. If you don't like it you don't have...
I'm sure Steve Howe regularly checks this board for all the valuable career advice that seems to be available to him.
Because when the sub-text of the post is "you are an idiot for enjoying something I don't", it becomes more than just expressing an opinion.
Same old, same old. How many ways do you have to say the same thing? Sure wish I had as much time on my hands as you seem to. You certainly spend a huge amount of time commenting on something you...
This
Seems to be a lot of confidence that 3 guys who haven't really delivered in the last few years are going to produce something fantastic. Happy to be proved wrong but can't see it myself.
Ordered this morning. March isn't too far away now.
Alternatively why not just see it for the crock that it is and ignore it. I just can't get my head around how impassioned some people are getting about something that actually doesn't matter. I'd...
Yawn. RRHOF - what's the point?
He needs to get out more
Why acknowledge something if it doesn't support your agenda? I think that's a rhetorical question.
Picked this up at the Steve Hackett concert in Glasgow on Sunday. Listened to it a couple of times - very impressed
3 weeks since commercial release. Still don't have backer CD
What I struggle to understand is the point of the RRHOF. Created by people who seem to think they can determine who is and isn't important in music. Complete waste of time and space IMHO.
I'm in the UK and I saw the CD in the local record store on 25th September. It's now 7th October and I still haven't received my backer CD.
Saw the band last night in Glasgow. Great show in an intimate, i.e. small, venue. Some great songs - On A Perfect Day/Afterthoughts/Waiting for Me + The Water as an encore. New songs held up well...
It seems that one of the benefits of being a backer of this project is to be able to watch the CD become available via Amazon and retail stores before actually receiving my copy. I've just off to...
BUMP
Campaign 2/3 funded with 2 weeks to go. Would encourage anyone who enjoyed the original New World album to support this.
Edinburgh last night - brilliant. Epitaph & Starless my personal favourites but whole show was great. What an ovation from the audience at the end. Wish I was going to the second show tonight.
Original campaign is very clear that it is about a digital release of tracks which will drip feed out one by one. There have been hints about a CD but would likely be over and above initial pledges....
I'm in again. Still listening to New World on a regular basis. Highly recommend this project.
"We Promise All Our Kickstarter Backers Will Hear The Music and Enjoy The Album & All The Rewards Well Before Anyone Else." Yet another misleading statement. Just seen a review of the CD in this...
Dave has just created a Kickstarter campaign to fund the live recording of his New World album (and other stuff). Campaign rewards include live CDs and a Blu-Ray as well as packages including show...
Maybe the rest of the lost tapes box set will be released in 2016, the 10th anniversary of the release of the first part, or maybe not.
Maybe all the projects Jon claims to have been working over...
No you don't understand. It has to be said over and over again until you take the same view. You're not allowed to have your own opinion you know.
This thread reminds me a lot of when I used to visit an ageing relative (sadly no longer with us) who had an advanced case of Alzhiemer's. Every time I would visit her I was guaranteed to be told the...
I think opinions are great until they begin to be presented as fact (general comment and not directed at you)
I think their registered name is something like F2 Music
I can't speak for the authenticity of the DVDs but I have purchased from ProgRock a few times and I believe they are reputable supplier. I've never had any issues with them.
I think that's true. He seems to be getting the flak for the original screw ups on the project. On the Kickstarter site, backers, including myself, have been asking for more clarity on when the items...
Out later this year - autobuy for me

I think the question you have to ask is "how much time do the Yes naysayers have on their hands that they can continuously post on this thread while claiming to have either have had no interest in...
Apologies for being so stupid. Good luck with your search for the parameters. I'm sure you'll find plenty of help in your quest.
I can almost see you on that pedestal you have built yourself as the "arbiter of common sense". Nothing like being patronising to anyone who may have an ongoing interest in Yes and might want to see...
Vancouver summer 1975 on the Relayer tour - on holiday visiting family and my cousins asked if I wanted to go. Had heard Close to the Edge and Fragile at this point so agreed to go but not sure what...
After the Kickstarter debacle, Jon doesn't get another penny from me. The samples I've heard so far aren't too inspiring either.
Apologies- schoolboy error. Won't let it happen again 😊
Quite a leap from what's been said so far but if it makes you happy......
What is clear, to me at least, is that Yes really "stumbled" from 1 album to the next with constant line up changes being the order of the day. The reality is probably that the band made decisions at...
There's certainly nothing like a sweeping generalisation to support an argument, is there? From the posts I've seen I don't believe that anyone has been saying that the band can do no wrong. From my...
I'm in for the CD. What I find most distasteful about the whole thing are the recent comments about Kickstarter. The project would probably never have got off the ground without the original...
14 pages later and I still can't believe how many posts I've seen from those that gave up on Yes years ago and that this is now definitely the end. It seems to be a case of of "if I keep saying it,...
"Ghoulish insistence" as you describe it comes from individuals who post on boards like this. Very few seem to consider that perhaps the musicians enjoy working and performing together. As long as...
What a great post. The future of Yes is up to the remaining members and nobody else. They'll decide what to do and while, personally, I'd like them to carry on, I will respect their choice whatever...
