Yeah, that was a great one! Lots of insight into the workings of Yes and very entertaining. Billy’s quite a cool guy. Thanks so much!

I love “Time,” too, and the original vinyl sounds GREAT.
I dunno—Andy Pearce has done some great and very dynamic remasters in the past. I wouldn’t be surprised if this turns out to sound a lot better than original releases. I’m pretty excited to hear it!
So, you’ve been burned before, too??
Been listening to these remasters lately, and I’m knocked out at the drum sound around gets.its amazing—they sound like drums and are really enveloping while leaving space for everything else.
And...
Cool—thanks!
I just listened to this album again today.
Man, I really do love it.
Thanks for that!
Yeah, I’m blown away by the SEBTP SACD and redbook layer. It blows away my black triangle and V/C cd’s!
Can’t wait for the Lamb.
And I, too, hope they finish the line and do Wind, ATTWT and Duke.
I’ve compared my mofi with several others, and it’s my least favorite. It’s got none of the warmth of the original pressings.
The 50th is my favorite version on cd.
Production fixes would certainly make CA much more of a winner.
When I first heard S and A, I thought it was just kind of OK,But when I heard it on vinyl, my enjoyment of it went WAY up. The sound...
Here’s a fascinating dissection of some of the differences in the mixes:

Also a couple shows in SoCal on March 3.
For me it was Marillion at Night of the Prog in Lorelei, 2010. Transcendent.
I still like RTL a lot, and On an Island never did anything for me.
I’m excited about a new album—but certainly a lot more excited at the prospect of a tour!
Love it—thanks for posting! Didn’t get an email or anything from Marillion!
Got my copy yesterday and had a first listen to the “Inside” Atmos mix—WOW!!!
After hearing both stereo mixes for quite a while now, these are a revelation!
The stereos are pretty...
I was really impressed with their “Gates” when I saw em in 2019!
Totally agree. I like it.
I used to keep track of how many times I’d seen him by remembering each bass player!
Some thoughts on the shows I saw in Indianapolis and Nashville, Indiana:
I loved the Setlist and thought they played extremely well.
I took a buddy with me who had never seen YES before, but has...
I have loved this album since it came out, but this remix sounds SO much better than the original CD release. I haven’t been all that wowed by the other remasters regarding sound quality. I like all...
Thanks so much for the info—ordered from JPC $145 delivered to US!!
If you join the Full Moon Club through bandcamp, you get downloads of some shows from the Back to Front tour, along with lots of other goodies.
Only 3 pounds a month, and you can cancel at any time....
Not that I’m complaining!
Saw Buffalo, Pittsburgh and Columbus—don’t miss this show. My favorite tour of his since Secret World.
—-Spoiler ahead——-
Also, they played “The Tower That Ate People” for the first...
I can’t wait for these, Man! It seems Selling England may be out first? Maybe??
I’ve had these albums for how many decades, and I’m still obsessed?
And I’m as excited about Abacab as I am The Lamb....
Man, these Genesis releases have me more excited than I’ve been in years. I feel like I’m in high school again, and I just keep looking ant the forums the news annnouncements—and I don’t even know...
Yeah, that would make sense, and it’s a great one to go out on.
But I sure hope not!!
I’m really enjoying it. Great, uplifting, classic FK tunes, fantastic performances, and the mix is stellar!
Lucky man—Islands and By Royal Decree are my favorites since Sum!
Got the deluxe version, and I'm so glad I did.
Though I got it mostly for the Atmos mix, I'm happily surprised to find the actual album remix is fantastic! It's the best sounding of his remasters by...
Also, the single mix of "Big Generator," which I prefer to the album mix by a lot.
This remix made me finally really get into this album. After years of trying, this has me enjoying the album as much as other floyd! So, I’m glad it exists.
I love Atmos mixes and listen to surround music at least 3 times a week. So, I’m the guy they’re selling to!
Atmos mixes are great cos it seems they never compress em like other formats. They’re...
Yeah. I’ll push back.
Firth and Cinema Show are not only Genesis classics way eons IKWIL but classics of the entire Prog genre.
I get what you're saying, but I have never been able to get through more than a song on the album or blu-ray because the audience noise interrupts the music for me.
Oooh, that's a good one I never thought of before!
Man, I really enjoy watching Jay Schellen!
Let's hope!
I saw the reported last tour of Foreigner this summer.
Had a great time at the show, and they sounded great.
Being a casual fan, I looked up their line-up to see who was left from the original...
I’m really looking forward to this tour. I’ve loved Yes for decades, and I’m happy to see any of them play anything.
And they seem rejuvenated, and really on the same page with this new album, too.
I appreciate you letting us know. Been hoping for this!
Three
That’s just very cool.
Thanks d for sharing.
Seems no one is giving love to Jay Schellen, so I wanna do that. I think his drumming is a pretty big part of what makes the playing on this album the most the band has gelled in quite a while—maybe...
Nashville presale code is TALES.
Anyone know more codes--looking for Cincinatti!
Ditto that—pretty amazing!
I got this album on a Japanese blu-spec cd, and the clarity was pretty surprising. It sounded more like hi-res files than the normal cd--and what struck me most was how great the drums sound!
Really...
Yeah, I love the art--it's the most unique, inviting piece from him in a while, and it perfectly fits the vibe of the music.
As for the album, I spun "Ladder" and "Magnification," my 2 faves from...
I’ll jump in:
Mirror to the Sky
Magnification
The Ladder
Talk
Union
Open Your Eyes
Fly From Here
FFH Return Trip
Just listened again, and it strikes me again that “Cur From the Stars” hits me as something that could’ve come between “Tormato” and “Drama”—but this time it hit me that the whole album could be from...
Definitely better than I’d hoped!
The 5.1 is really good, and the Atmos is a bit more open but a lot less compressed, which I appreciate. Love having these albums in surround. “Quest” is a whole...
I’ve been wanting to hear this album again as soon as it ends. I’m loving it more and more. That hasn’t happened for me with YES since Magnification, and I didn’t know if it would ever happen again. ...
I just saw him play with them LAST NIGHT—from front row center! He was great and seemed very happy. Glad I saw him again (his long gray hair fit in great, too) but I’ll miss him tremendously!
Funny you should mention that cos Sherwood wrote “Homeworld.”
From that latest review:
“…and Jon Davison’s powerful vocals sung in duet with a woman…”
Uhhhh, what now?
I was lucky enough to see the Masterworks tour five times, and the following orchestral tour three times, and I was surprised to find the “Gates” I saw in Nashville by this current lineup was the...
Cool—appreciate the share!
I saw the Royal Affair tour in Nashville, and their Gates blew me away! Absolutely loved it.
