The only band I've heard of is Djam... lol
Ultra serious??
Isn't that what you did with this response???
No it isn't... At least not for me and the people I associate with.
I'm glad it helps you though since we all are different and have to progress is areas...
I had a subscription for a few years then realized they have articles about the same bands over and over..
Hope it's better now!
New music by Zwoyld...
https://zwoyld.bandcamp.com/album/zgond
Great stuff.. Thanks for sharing..
I would go with Anglagard's Hybris..
Close to the Edge is right up there also along with Pain of Salvation's The Perfect Element..
Really loved Give us a wink and Desolation boulevard..
Hated the love is like oxygen album and stopped there..
Just like listening to older Queen they are always fun every once in a while...
If you can handle heavier music then you need to check out the first 4 Pain of Salvation discs...
I hope it does for me also...
So far I'm not impressed with this disc...
Destined Solitaire was on for today's trip to work...
Those two are so good!!
Ozric Tentacles
Anglagard
Forgas Band Phenomena
New Alkaloid coming out in May...

Thanks for sharing this information..
Looks like I have something to do on the 11th...
Gave this one another try and couldn't get through it...
The excitement to get a disc with these two was great but the result was boring...
I like Thalassa but I didn't go for the new one since it's an EP..
Guess I should at least check it out...
I have to admit I like this disc better than I thought I would...
Would've been cool to see them live!!
Nice... Thanks for the heads up on this one!
Good luck...
I have Standard Deviation but haven't listened to it in while...
I remembered liking Elektrum more...
Renaissance In Extremis by Akercocke is now out.. They do have some growling but the playing makes it worth the listen...
Why is this a problem for you???
I only visit this board so it was nice to learn about this...
I've been hooked on this new one for the weekend...
Squintaloo - Uber Bord!
I used to be a fan but this new direction isn't for me..
I'm glad others are enjoying it..
I gave them another listen since it's been decades and as I remembered the first album doesn't measure up to your description... Nothing even close to heavy on the handful of songs I listened too..
...
Nice.. Thanks!!
My top 5 would be this...
Sheik Yerbouti
Over-Nite Sensation
The Grand Wazoo
Hot Rats
You Are What You Is
Thanks for taking part in trying to decipher my knowledge of the 80s music...
Not surprised that none of you asked which albums I think are good from this decade since you couldn't make these...
Once again you come to the wrong conclusion and who writes like this in a public forum?? Does it make you feel superior with these cryptic sentences??
None of these comments are surprising since...
Practice what you preach...
That is if you can somehow control yourself...
Now this is another humorous response from a person who's accusing another person of not being "open minded" enough to have an opinion on music... You elitist really need to understand that other...
Perfect... Thanks for proving my point
Most people "diss" the 80s music because of the shitty stuff that was made...
Sorry that doesn't fall in line with your opinion...
I agree with you.
I see that you're new out here so welcome to the forum...
I would also recommend getting used to the elitist attitude that some of the posters have out here when your opinions...
My list would include two discs that I've learned about this past year and a half...
I hope that answers your question about my ability to have an opinion of the music these past 5 decades...\M/
Now that's funny...
Good one and I still think the 80s were the worse decade out of the past 4...
I certainly was old enough in the 80s to know that the music went to shit..
Thankfully the thrash/death era started to save it a little...
Too many of the great bands from the 70s started...
The same happens for me...
I have this one on the way... New Amplifier
https://amplifier.bandcamp.com/album/trippin-with-dr-faustus
70% reduction in illegals coming into the country was a quick win...
Wait I remember that doesn't count because a wall wasn't resurrected in a few days...
