Got a set of tumblers and will get a tee eventually.
Be there for Keswick and possibly the Wellmont
Primus sucks!
I'll go with fervent disinterest myself.
I'm really glad this is FINALLY seeing the light of day.
Who plays bass?
Racket shipping confirmation email has arrived.
Still have it. I'll pass on the reissue.
Yup. This will go on the wall with the other autographed prints. Really looking forward to the live show which is always a major piece of these Marillion releases for me.
That was fantastic. But I've seen Randy acoustic before.
It's been a really bad stretch for the Rush family over the least few years. Very sad.
Ouch. Sad news.
Thanks! I'll going to find the Randy Jackson performance now.
The version on Different Stages is ridiculous. They mostly stay fairly close to the script on this one.
It's a "chat" as they say in England.
Alex and Geddy may work together in the future, but Alex said there is nothing immediate about it
The album flat is above the headboard of our bed.
Leave That Thing Alone, Animate, Everyday Glory, Cut To The Chase, Nobody's Hero, Alien Shore, Between Sun and Moon, Cold Fire Double Agent.....
Or more than one....
I love Victor in spite of Edwin. Have to figure I'll like the new vocalist a lot better.
There isn't one.
Not in New Jersey as far as new releases are concerned.
Had been going there fairly regularly since I got my driver's license. I remember Irvington but wasn't interested enough in buying music at that point. My friend's older brother bought his...
I'm in the same boat.... so to speak.
That might be worth the price of admission alone.
Don't have to convince me. I love the guy. I might even like Johnette's version better. She kills it. Especially live.
Is this going to be archived somewhere?
Thanks.
Saw this live but the connection was dodgy at times so it will be nice to watch the uninterrupted version of this.
Tried to ask what he thought of Buddy Rich but it never got answered.
About to say the same thing.
US Dates in May 2022?
"It's all part of the continuum."
Unsurprisingly, I favor the live albums. Live at The Murat (from I think 2007) immediately springs to mind.
Yes. Thank you. There's really a treasure trove here.
I remember in the years immediately following his death there was a huge demand to get "Shaming" released but time was needed to find out...
I enjoy it. One of the better ones I think. Not far from the top tier Hemispheres shows soundwise and the performance is what you'd expect too.
Mine too. Or 2112 depending on what day it is.
I'll admit to wanting to see Edison's Children live. Hope I have the chance one day.
You can be happy for me (not sorry.) I wish you could relive it too. Most Marillion shows I'd want to relive too.
FEAR is what Brave should have been.
Thanks for breaking that down. Do we have a page count?
The story is in Road & Track magazine from 11/73.
Right there with you. At least for everything except Brave, half of Afraid of Sunlight and Less is More.
That's the attraction. The spirit and love are what make it worthwhile for me.
This one is on the 5.1 mix version. Nick R.(the producer) says he has a lot of footage from those sessions but who knows if any of it will see the light of day.
I got nothing.....
I would have been surprised up until about a year ago, but not anymore. Could go either way. Might be a holiday release, might not. There doesn't seem to be anyone left at the label that would care...
I can almost make it to 12 that I'm not into.
Been waiting for this one. Thanks.
That would have been a good time to mention it....especially if your name is Alex Lifeson.
Still listening to the extended version. Pete and Mike are all over it. Definitely better than the last one, but that's a pretty low bar. Nods to quite a bit of music, even their own, but still...
I don't mind the spirituality at all. More overt than that and it could become more of a problem for me.
I have no problem with Pete or Mike singing on this. Comes from the heart.
Ritchie Kotzen will be the one to decide when the next Winery Dogs album happens. Have to figure Mike and Billy are just waiting for the word since tht seems to be the only project that mainstream...
Who thought that was a good idea?
Thanks! I'll have to dig into this. Still have The Ritz cassette myself. Seems odd that it would surface recently after all this time, but that's pretty cool that it has.
The Moving Pictures set was my least favorite part of that show. Not a lot of the usual improv (or as much as Rush does improv) during that part. There's a better version of just about any song on...
I did the same thing. I should look into this release.
Never opened it. It's an excerpt from the Time Machine CD/DVD so I just listen to/watch the whole show. I don't really have a problem with Geddy's voice until the second set of R40. At the time of...
Nice!
Great show, but then most Marillion shows are.
My gateway to the Rheostatics was Neil Peart, but I learned to appreciate them on their own merits. At least Mellville, Whale Music and Introducing Happiness.... Kind of lost track of them after...
