So now Ian Anderson the solo artist who said to Martin Barre "i don't want to be in Jethro Tull anymore" has become Jethro Tull?
I think they are but even if they aren't, the full shows will probably be on sale in full at some point. I am certainly getting the first Copenhagen show, since i was there. Both Circus (an amalgam...
That was just a beautiful rendition.
I wonder if there will be a new studio album out before this tour. They are debuting new pieces on the current tour.
I just ripped all the tracks in to my DAW and compared them with the ones on B'Boom. None of the performances are the same.
I have searched high and low but can't find any answers to this:
Are there any performances on this dvd set that are the same as on the B'Boom album?
Got myself tix for the Copenhagen show. :-)
+1
In the Mústek metro station (if you searc a little there) there is an AWESOME record store called Bontonland. They had all the Jethro Tull box sets etc etc etc.....
And standing on one leg etc etc etc..... ;-)
Ordered one monday last week :-)
That is the band with Pierre on violin? (Or is it Taylors Free Universe?)
I was just at a party with Pierre last weekend. Nice guy :-)
I LOVE the SW JT remixes. The one i think gained the most is actually Benefit. That one went from being a very muffled sounding album to open and inviting.
Same here. And that goes for the Warchild deluxe set too.
iTunes is the sale that gives the artist the most revenue. I asked our recordlabel about this and they gave me the math on it.
Living in a small country in the EU the cloud is just not any good. As soon as you go beyond the borderline roaming charges will drain you bank account. The first 20mb are the cheap ones: 6...
:-) Thanks Jon.
Something like this?:

Question is, are they sourced from soundboards or multitracks?
:-)
It's called "blue oyster led big". It's Addictive Drums 2 btw. Can't remember now but i probably did a few adjustments. I often find the hats and cymbals to be too loud in the presets.
Actually he is not correct. The YS songs WERE mixed to mono. The mono mixes just weren't used. They were unissued untill the mono cd box where they saw the light of day.
Just a cheapo Alesis DM6 set that i bought very cheap used. Haven't even checked out it's internal sounds. I know they'll be terrible ;-)
What irks me is that he doesn't want to be in the band Jethro Tull but stages a Jethro Tull rock opera based on Jethro Tull songs......
:-) Thanks folks. Glad you enjoyed it.
Addictive drums :-)
I am really surprised at the erratic rate this (fine) album is mailed out in. I got mine 3 weeks ago.
All of Brave New World plus all of AMOLAD minus the first two tracks. A bit more than 11. I wouldn't include any tracks from DOD or TFF.
Saw this on the Hofmann forum.
For the upcoming Minstrel In The Gallery remix, there will be a single CD reissue, as well as a vinyl LP release, and a fan set La Grandé with 2 CDs and 2 DVDs. The...
I love this album. I still wonder why OMRN sounds like a rough mix compared to the rest though....
It is nice to have Fripp back with some more vintage like guitar tones.
And almost kinda bluesy. Love the shouts of encouragement from the audience too :-)
Got Live At The Orpheum today :-)
Got the cd today. I am not "in total agreement with the mix". It's like the drums does not connect with the rest of the band. One More Red Nightmare is the most affected by this. It kinda sounds a...
I really liked ADKOT so bring on the new album. But please go a little easier on the mastering on it.
If it's not better than TFF it will be the first Iron Maiden album i won't be buying.
On another note, Burning Shed has shipped my copy of Life At The Orpheum :-)
I have seen reports of 4gen mods. Not sure how much storage you can put in them. It would depend on how much the OS can address.
To my knowledge the 6 gen will accept 256gb cards.
4 and 5 gen will accept 128 and less. So if you put a 128gb card in what was once an 80gb ipod it will become a 128gb ipod. You can put lesser...
Yeah :-)
If apple suddenly don't make an iTunes update that does not support classics.....
Anyway. I have a spare classic. I will probably get it modded the same way. The HD is emitting clicks,...
Beware, only gen 6 iPod classics can address more than 148gb ram to my knowledge. (And 256gb cards are way more expensive than 128 ones)
I didn't. I handed it over to one of those "we repair apple gadgets" shops. I had a new battery installed too. But they would have done the HD converison for 200 Dkr (Danisk Crowns). Which meant...
This is another one of those silly Beatles myths. It didn't happen.
Which is what i have in my ipod classic now. No moving parts :-)
I just had a 128gb cf card (with a cf to pata adapter for connectivity) installed in one of my ipod classics.
So now:
1 - it weighs less.
2 - 40 % longer battery time, than it had with the...
Watch all of this concert to see what Ringo could do when he felt frree enough to do it. It's simply awesome.

:-) Thanks a bunch fellas.
If you know any good vocalists/lyricists that would want to finish it by adding vocals please feel free to pitch in. Just for the fun of it.
Absolutely. Tastes are different. Also in the mix room :-)
I play in Anubis Gate if you want to check them out.
Just for the fun of it....

I have listened to the bites on iTunes. They are 256aac (which is far superior to mp3 of the same bitrate) and enough to judge by. I have also been part of mixing enough albums to know how i prefer...
Actually i don't think the production is that good. It's like the bass doesn't really lay the right "carpet" and the drums are somehow disconnected from the rest of the band.
I have. Or rather, i have preordered it.
I didn't like II. First of all the band wasn't on it. Geoff Tate blocked all input from the band and recorded almost all of it using studio musicians. And Tata has very few good songs in him. (As...
I have ordered parts for this mod. No moving parts that can break in the hd. Longer battery life. Dis gon to be good.
...
It's a mighty fine album.
It annoys me immensely that this hasn't been released on iTunes.
I have spun the hell out of this already. It moves me. It is beautiful. I have been burned out on PF for many years but this album has also rekindled my enjoyment of PF.
I have heard exactly 6 minutes of it. (The first 6). And i think it's beautiful.
I'ts not the big spliff. Almost nothing of the TBS was used. Two of the bonus tracks are however parts of TBS.
I have two classics (one 120 and one 160 gb) The battery in the 160 needs changing anyway so i will probably get a 256 ssd installed in it. It should last for many many years with that config.
In the 20th anniversary box book Barre says it's a guitar through a very cheap practice amp he had just bought.

Nevertheless this new song preview playing tin the backrground sounds VERY good to my ears.
