Jeffrey, I Hear You - The Girls (single from late 70s Boston band; no girls in that band)
Since I Met You, Baby - Ivory Joe Hunter
The stop in Medford, MA, on July 6 is less than a mile walk from my house. I just may go. Regular (non-VIP, etc.) ticket prices ($95 and down) at the box office aren't that bad for the number of...
Psycho - The Beasts of Bourbon
Still convalescing and PTing from my knee replacement, so only have time for one or two albums a day and mostly off of YouTube. Today's was

To Our Children's Children's Children - The Moody Blues
What's the Ugliest Part of Your Body? - The Mothers of Invention
Yay!
First time I heard the MC5 was on an AM radio station, WICE, in Providence in 1969. The 8pm to 12pm DJ would occasionally play current album cuts. One night he played "Kick Out the Jams." Of...

Wild Blue Yonder - The Screaming Blue Messiahs
Spirit of the Age - Hawkwind
Whisper in the Night - Electric Light Orchestra
Thank you. If you ever have the hip(s) replaced, I hear the recovery is easier than with a knee. My knee was arthritic, so arthritis can be pretty damaging. Do what the doctor says is necessary.
Sky Pilot - Eric Burden and the Animals
Thank you, Mark. I'm getting there.
I'm trying. Thank you for the encouragement.
Smoke! Smoke! Smoke That Cigarette - Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen
Yesterday:
Fleetwood Mac - Live at the Boston Tea Party, Volume 1
John Cipollina and Raven - John Cipollina and Raven
I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive - Hank Williams
Thank you to all for the nice wishes.
Ian, how's retirement going? Great, I hope. Took about two or three years before I decided I was happy (except for all the doctor appointments) with it.
Ramblin' Rose - The MC5
Point well taken, Steve. I hope I keep your episode always in mind.

Just finished You Thought It Was More by Louie "the Coin" Colavecchio. It's his account of growing up a mob wannabe and associate in Providence. There's a History Channel episode about him as the...
It's been a couple weeks since I last posted. I had my left knee replaced at the beginning of the month. Still hurts like a sumbitch; staples came out today. When I first mentioned several months...
Merry-Go-Round - Wild Man Fischer
Wake Me, Shake Me - The Blues Project

The Loco-Motion - Little Eva
I need to get this. Was a big Bowie fan back then. Saw him at the Tower in Philly early '73.
I know it's old hat by now; I've started reading Geddy Lee's autobiography. Excellent! I found the chapter on his parents' time in the camps and aftermath heartbreaking.
Same here; I love A Mighty Wind. Ever since seeing it, though, I do have a heard time taking such squeaky-clean folk music seriously. After seeing the movie, I heard an obscure track by the Les...

At the end of one of her Lume commercials, she asks, "Why didn't someone think of this sooner?" I scream at the TV, "Because it's not necessary!!!!"
Interesting indeed. I thought the 1st album was okay, the 2nd rather dismal, and the 3rd not good, but it has been years since I listened to them. Still, I would like to see the current line up.
