Here's a breath of fresh air:

Well yeah...Joe Friday. So that's a given.
!! So the supernatural is real?...How did I miss this? The televangelists were right all along? (In their general proposition.) This is going to take some time to process.
Sounds like they did, and it landed in the Arctic Ocean. :)
Not surprising at all. Prime had started to offer movies for rent or download, on top of the hefty price for Prime. That didn't generate the expected income, so they set up a free channel where some...
^ What channel/service?
I watched s.1 ep.1 of The Boys on Prime last night. Loved it. I hope that the rest of the series is as incisive, insightful, and downright vicious as that episode was.
^ Imo, TNG was the best the franchise produced.
On tv or irl?
😉
I'm not a hard core movie fan, but Salma Hayek was the only name I recognized, apart from John Hannah, but I know him more from his NFL career with the New England Patriots, before he took up acting.
The book. I had found the TV series on Prime (after you mentioned it,) but I'm going to wait til it's available to watch without forking over extra cash.
I finished Neverwhere a couple days ago, and it was outstanding. Left me wishing he had revisited that universe, so I would have a follow-up to jump into.
Saw the trailer for Citadel on Prime. May be "must watch" viewing.
Based on Rupert Murdoch, perhaps?
^ Re Succession...I tend to watch a fair bit of cable news, so I get a lot of corrupt rich guys already. ;) Still, I'll try and find a source to start at the beginning and at least give it a chance.
^ I haven't watched a minute...but...aren't all of these characters rich, uber corrupt individuals? If so, how is this enjoyable television, regardless of the caliber of acting?
Serious question.
My Dad was a refugee after WWII at age 10/11. He saw a lot of shit too that he didn't want to go into detail about.
^ I saw somewhere online where they were touting the MP Silly Walk as a effective short exercise routine.
Of course you are:
...
That trailer looks like a must. I went looking for Dark on Prime, and came up with a 2015 movie about a woman in a blackout. I'm guessing that's not it? There was one called The Dark that looks like...
What time period is it set in?
The Peripheral on Prime looks like it might be very good. Coming October 21.
I don't know where you guys find time for this much television. I wouldn't stand a chance.
This was discussed at length a couple years ago, Greg. I didn't watch it, but the reviews were pretty good, as I recall.
You know the old adage. "When life hands you spoiled milk, make cottage cheese."
It sounds like it's a lock.
You guys are gonna convince me to watch this.
^ You gotta be kidding.
Yeah, I think I hate Spectrum more than any other corporation.
I dumped Cable TV 4 or 5 years ago, but still have it for internet. Time Warner -> Spectrum was bleeding me to the tune of $181/mo, more than my gas & electric combined. Don't miss Cable TV either,...
Not yet. Other things have occupied my time. But I'll be on it soon. I'd expect that the confusion is part of the plan.
Apologies if I missed or don't remember the discussion, but is anyone here planning on watching Outer Range on Prime? Starts tonight, I think. It looks...intriguing.
This was my expectation from the moment this endeavor was announced, and why I've had no interest in giving time to it.
^ +1
What? Two of the zombies don't fall madly in love, and elope to get married in Cancun before the eventual breakup?
Yeah, this really chafes my nuts too, and they're raising the price for Prime. Mine's not up til December, but I'm going to have to give it some thought.
^ I have a jpeg that purports to put the MCU offerings in a chronological order (up until the time it was made, anyway.) I tried to post it, but it's too damned small to make out.
Thanks. It's not on Prime then.
That's the series that started in 2015 and had 2 seasons?
^ I never could figure out what she saw in him, so when it went tits up (pun intended,) I figured she got what was inevitable. Not like you couldn't see it ahead of time. That doesn't exonerate him,...
Never had any back line players from the Kalamazoo Wings in as guests? ;)
Haven't seen her since AHS, I don't think. Might have to check out at least episode 1.
^ Is that the one with John Cena wearing a strange bowl on his head?
Then the one being discussed is a reboot?
ACGaS was a 70s show, wasn't it? I think I watched it on PBS in the 80s. A feel good drama about a British veterinarian?
^ On my watch list, just haven't pulled the trigger yet.
I've seen advertisements for it on TSN. I may have to check it out.
^ So you use a different type of fertilizer? :bad
You guys know that Comfrey is a tea, right? Who names their kid Comfrey?
^ Is this show modeled after a real individual?
^ Yeah that's going to be appointment viewing for me. I won't be able to wait and binge all at once.
^ I haven't seen it either, but the high praise here will lead me to check it out.
Yeah, I've seen some too. I wonder why they get so much attention?
At the time that movie was made, I would have rated Kate Winslet the most beautiful woman on the planet, along with Cindy Crawford.
^ Not on Prime.
Hal... I love your posts. Don't change a thing. It was a joke. I almost didn't post it, but I thought it was funny, and I thought you would take it in the spirit it was written. I added the emoji to...
Christ. GuitarGeek and Monet had a baby. ;)
I have a hard time watching series in which none of the major characters are likeable. I remember bailing on Mad Men for that reason.
^ C'mon. Everyone knows that gamma rays don't kill you. They turn you into The Hulk.
