Look for them on The Traders' Den tracker
I've always loved the original incarnation of It Bites.
I bought all their albums at that time, and the first two in particular I still listen to from time to time.
I listened to the 4 tracks on...
I've only listened to the originals a couple of times, but I'm currently listening to the new 2023 version and I really like it.
Can anyone point out some differences?
Reagrding the production, Mike Stone had to send his production master to the record label a handful of times because it was never judged satifactory, until he went for a 'Phil Spector like' sort of...
I like Alpha.
Many other people like it too.
You're among the ones who don't like it.
Not everything is for everybody.
I received the album today and i like it.
In the 80s many people who knew, appreciated or even loved Genesis was well aware about Phil Collins success, and some of them may have even been aware he was a member of the band.
On the other...
Be prepared for a new 50-disc box set with different variations of this thing alone.
You can always download the 90 min pre-fm reels transfer from the Genesis torrent site:

The remixes revealed different lead vocal lines as well, but that's another story...
There's also this one from 1995:

Those original KBFH CDs are getting more and more difficult to find.
It's years i don't see any of them on ebay, which used to be almost the only place to buy them.
And there are many dedicated to...
Yes, hoping in hope.
It will be just as you fear, sadly, so don't have high expectations.
On the article foot-note it says The Charisma Years box set is being re-pressed.
It's actually Ripples part 2.
The new song is surprisingly good.
Will it be the withdrawn Shel Talmy mix?
:)
You don't miss much at all, imho.
New digital 'single' off the box out today:

For those who want to buy the box but still can't find a place to buy it from, it seems that Just For Kicks german store have it available now for the really honest price of 134,99 €.
I ordered from...

Hi Stephen, it's great to have you here!
Do you know if there's a particular reason for the omission of the Refugees promo video?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHpBEGkGFGo
And here's the Shel Talmy mix of Refugees, sadly missing from the box:

New single out today: Pilgrims, despite what the cover says!

Yes it will.
New single out today: Killer (New Stereo Mix 2021):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXFEDrIKtsk
It's really a great remix in my opinion.
Well, actually Refugees on the I Prophecy Disaster compilation is a completely different mix than the released 7'' version (short intro w/ cello and longer ending w/ fast fade out).
It is 99% an...
Last year a very good sounding tape recording of the whole John Peel 24 October 1970 'Top Gear' session was unearthed.
Both tracks are included with spoken intro and Killer is unedited. Lost has...
The newly released Refugees single version is quite good:

Very old news
A note from Roger waters:

The Paris Maison De La Mutualite' gig was recorded for broadcast use (a couple of songs from an AM recording do circulate), so it hopefully will be of accettable sound quality at least.
Still Life...
So no Refugees promo video?
There are a few other so-called rarities (if we want to call them so): the radio version of An Extraordinary Life, the edit version of Face On The Bridge, an unplugged version of Don't Cry from the...
Yes, you're right. 8.
I have all the cds lined up spine by spine, and The Least We Can Do is the only one with a white spine which is close to a series of other cds with white spines. So i started...
Quiet Zone was already included in the count of 7, while Present was actually from EMI/Virgin with a resurgence of the Charisma logo for nostalgia reasons.
Yes, sometimes unexpected things happen indeed, so let's hope this is the case as well.
Anyway, there is still something worth mentioning that happened recently: regarding BBC sessions, a few big...
The Charisma albums are 7, one of them is a double (Vital), so they should account for 8 discs. Therefore, another 8 discs should be the 5.1 stuff.
That leaves space for 4 extra discs, 3 of which...
This is my favourite album of 2020 and probably of the last 10-15 years as well.
It's a deep musical journey into feelings and emotions, it's a masterful work of art.
It's been revealed that 6...

Your question regarding the promo CD-R for the (unreleased) BBC Sessions is spot on, i would know the reason myself!
I've got a direct copy of that 2CD-R set and the quality of the songs from that...
Actually, the 9th january 1972 session was located in 1995 on a pre-broadcast BBC reel-to-reel tape.
The 2008 BBC6 rebroadcast comes from a different transfer of that very same reel (and a pre-fm...
No, i don't think so. The instrumental coda segues the main song seamlessly, there's no evidence of any edit.
The last take (9) is the only one that includes the improv coda on Moonchild, an edit of which seems to be the released version. There's also the mellotron on take 9!
Sorry... but the 4-track EP on disc 1 doesn't seem and feel like Yes at all. The other 2 discs are redundant.
4 (far from brilliant) demo tracks turned into a 3 disc box set. Music business is...

Can you please tell me what's that KC50 slipcase cd? Maybe a collection of all the 50th anniversary digital 'singles' which are being dropped week by week?
The last one (Do Not Disturb) is quite good imho.
This would mean a new album is forthcoming.
It's up for sale on Qobuz in cd quality for £32.99

Out Out is still ...ehm, out, together with many other ones...
The vocalist is terrible
Musically is ok, but the new vocalist is rather annoying.
I just can't stand that way of singing.
Ouch! The dynamics look quite squashed.
Disc 2 in particular seems very bad.
