Thanks that was helpful....
I didn't know it but...... now I do! Thanx.
Hello it's me ;-) (again...),
Y'all might probably say "yes we heard your little TD track and yes we all said we liked it so now what?"
Well: I'm trying to build a larger audience for my music...

Exactly my thoughts...
I will try to get it done during the summer.
Thanks a lot.... I might make this a whole album, was thinking about that.
What do you think should be on the "B-side"? Another long piece? Three pieces like side B of Phaedra?
In the meantime,...
Aaaawww, that is very kind of you to say, thank you for that...
Thank you Mr. Interstellar.
Thank you very much! Would you believe me if I told you that I used only vintage hardware? Even TD and KS used softsynths in their later days, it doesn't matter as long as the music sounds good and...
Here you go:

For those who say the middle part is more like KS: check out my "Moonwind" album, also on http://josdurkstra.bandcamp.com
Thank you very much!
Guilty as charged..... In my defence: that's why I put the winky winky sign.
By the way I didn't know about those other forums.
No comments so far....
A little dissapointing, I mean we discuss music here right?
Hello, I have a released a new 19 minute track.... It's meant to be a "lost" TD track between their "Phaedra" and "Rubycon" albums.
For those of you who like the mighty mellotron, and who doesn't:...
Kohntarkosz - Magma.
Not trying to be the wise guy but: it's Bb-A-C-B, in German the Bb is called B and the natural B is called H.
Nobody so far mentions Neil Morse... A new NM album is not that important anymore is it?

Steve cut his finger: it was too "close to the edge".... Badummm Tsss!
Focus and Camel.
"I don't believe in anything.... ANYTHING in the world!!!!!!" Betrayed is my favorite angry song of his.
If my aunt had a moustache she would be my uncle.
Why did you feel offended in the first place? I commented on the music which as far as I understand has nothing to do with you or does it?
Just asking, not trying to start a war....
1.I said sorry to be negative.
2. Am I entitled a opinion of my own here?
3. It's not "negative shit", just the way I hear it.
4. Have a nice day.
To be honest, to me it sounds like you took a midifile and assigned sounds to it. There are no dynamics, the rhythm is quantized, the feeling and tension are totally absent. Sorry to be negative.
"What happened to this song we once knew so well?" You ruined it completey, that's what.
I listen to "To the bone" more often than other SW albums.... Now what?
Just listened to the whole album: I think it's the best of the last period of the band. Very positive vibe and the last song has a very distinguish Jon Anderson sound to it. About long epics, if...
I think this is rather good, it has a vintage early 70's vibe to it with hints of Genesis, VDGG and Camel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fvq3WjCGIcM&t=1610s
My guess about dividing tracks: Klaus Schulze started dividing his superlong tracks into shorter pieces more or less following the flow of the entire piece. So one hour long piece was suddenly...
Aah yes, a double concept album about dog food.... I guess Roger Waters would be able to do that?
Jon Anderson without Yes is YES!
Good ELPee....
Aside from all the obvious greats I would suggest: Rod Argent, Tomas Bodin.
@Rarebird: Thanx! No Kayak influence (at least not on purpose).
Main influences are VDGG (organ!), Roine Stolt, Andy Latimer (Guitar), Peter Hammill (Vocals. I even "borrowed" a small lyric from...
@Splice
At the time of the recording we were quite into Spock's beard. We had a drummer by the name of Melvin but he was more of a four to the floor drummer so he resigned for this project.
We...
@mozo-pg Hear hear! Thank you!

@Top Cat: Well, thank you sir!
P.s. pricing fixed.....
Here is a nice review:
https://www.backgroundmagazine.nl/CDreviews/MelvinsNosehairSean.html
@Top Cat: Pricing is confusing because of a mistake that seems not to be able to be fixed.
Then again: 33" is the average length of let's say a Gentle Giant album......
Anyway: thanks for...
You guys might like to check out this album by the dutch band Melvin's Nosehair "A kid called Sean".
It's a 33" minute epic in the style of old Genesis with VDGG echoes as well.

Self spam alert! Please check out my album "Moonwind", a hommage to the music of Klaus Schulze in his golden '70's era. You can listen on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer. Download available at iTunes...
Just purchased the album on Itunes. Listened the whole album through, using more than decent listening equipment.... I NEVER complained about the sound of any album but: there seems to be something...
So now it has come so far that the pissing starts just after an album is even announced...... PE = PEE. I mean come on, Neal Morse is one of the greatest composers of GOOD music in the last half...
:rofl
I'm trying hard NOT to listen to this cample....
Jeez, a 34" cample and PE is pissing over it already..... :doh
A dildo in an ass.
Great album though.
Magma 1st album AKA "Kobaia".
Golden Earring - Moontan

Any Yamaha CS synthesizer sounded the same. It's difficult NOT to sound like Vangelis using one of those.
Congrats to AYREON, Dream Theater imitates his composing style....
Fell asleep.
Only on PE an unheard album is anticipated as badly as this...... Jeez. :geezer
New Magma album?
That seamonster lyric to me always resonates deeply on a psychological level. Very poetic. But then again, I also love the Meurglyss guitar solo :-):p
So I am the first to say it: I love that guitar solo in Meurglyss III. PH is my favorite (no pun intended) BEST WORST guitar player.... Of course it wasn't meant to sound like a "good" solo. This...
Magma iss de hundin.....
No idea what that means (in Kobaian) but they say that they are.
Anyway: no Christian Vander no magma!

We would appreciate some feedback on this little tune.... :horns
