Hey ho.

Granada Hills location

Vet drummer, limited live experience.

If you can play it, I can time it, beat it, counterpoint it, poly-rhythm it, or minimalist-it.

Not a big fan of Neo-Prog in general.

Don't consider RUSH to be a Prog band. They are a Rock band.

Magic Fantasy band:

Primary composers: Jan Hammer, Tony Banks, Jon Anderson, Gary Husband
Guitar: Steve Howe, Steve Hackett, Allan Holdsworth
Keys: Dave Stewart (not that one), Eddie Jobson, Alan Pasqua, Gary Husband
Bass: Futureman, Jaco, Jeff Berlin,
Drums: Jack DeJohnette, Louie Belson, Bill Bruford, Chad Wackerman

Goals: To find like-minded musicians to share/play/perform with.

One liner overview: " Do it well, or don't do it at all. Be PASSIONATE in your writing, delivery, and execution " - John McLaughlin

Can I write music? No. But I have been told I have one of the best arranging ears ever known (by them....)

Isn't that two lines? ;)

Good luck, and keep us informed.

Any video of you playing live? Any sound clips?

Thanks for moving this, Mr(Mrs?) Mod.
Southern California
Clips?
Nothing edited. Lots of recordings over the last several years, but......

I'll make something for YouTube.
Hopefully it will not be too lame.

Bass: Futureman

Um, he's a percussionist. Perhaps you are thinking of his brother, Victor Wooten?

Sorry. I'm a Neo guy. And I'm also in Tejas. Hope you find something that suits your needs.

Here's the short video I made when I was selling my last drum kit.
Playing cold and unrehearsed (obviously)

I like it! I checked out the rods video too... you're a very precise player, I like that a lot. Hope you find a gig! If I was ever going to mount a production of the Ten Toes live, and lived on your end of the world I'd probably give you a call :D

I'll never get to play that stuff live. Fun to think about though.

I liked it, you sound good! Unfortunately I live in Chicago. And I don't have my prog/fusion band together anymore either.

That's a good loyal doggie you have there! My cat slinks into the bedroom every time I pull my guitar out of it's case. Damn furry critic!

You've described our progressive rock band, almost. And our drummer DID take lessons from Chad Wack.
I know how hard it is to find these people, it's taken us 4+ years...

Hey, thanks for the praise, guys.

I need to play. My last band has imploded. Bet you never heard that before.....

Here's a cut of the guitarist and I noodling, while the bass player pours yet another scotch...
I think he drops in at the end...

This is all off the top of our heads.

Gotta love that re-verb button......!

Pfffft. I knew that. Everyone knows that. You think I don't know that?
